Had an overnight stay as watching a show on the North Pier.
Some time since we’ve been but the standards are still good.
Room clean and tidy and bed comfy. Standard double room.
Place is steeped in history - interesting looking in the many rooms at the framed photos of the dignitaries and famous that have stayed over the years.
Staff are pleasant and helpful.
The mahogany panelling along the main thoroughfares could not be reproduced in this day and age.
Breakfast was something else - as much as you require buffet that was absolutely excellent. Even got a table by the windows.
Can’t fault it - only issue was the parking - £14 for one night? A bit excessive when there are roads outside where it’s free.
Thoroughly enjoyable.
We went for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a birthday, an annual event. Service was good but the food was neither fresh, appetising or of the quality described & overall a terribly disappointing experience & extremely poor value for the price. We attempted to share our concerns, having sent repeated emails & called in over a 3 month period & to date the complaint has not been acknowledged or any response made.
On the website they claim:
At The Imperial Hotel Blackpool, we pride ourselves on delivering a positive experience for every visitor. You can relax knowing that our client’s satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do.
On this occasion they failed to deliver.
The aura and history of the hotel. Great value for money.
You will not be surprised to hear - excessive carpark charges along with carpark signs stating hotel not responsible for any problems park at your own risk, exactly the same as parking on the street.????
The staff went beyond expectations
the bed was so comfy I didn't want to get out of it
nothing
i enjoyed everything about the hotel
Old building
I don’t like the building and on the their website they put swimming pools on it but when we get there they said it’s cancelled
Top class facilities
Exceptional staff
Excellent food
Some areas need redecorating, but I like the gently fading glory. I wouldn’t want the historic charm to be painted over.
The location was ideal for a walk into the main Blackpool town centre and the reception, foyer, bar and room were all managed in a friendly and professional way. The bedroom facilities were also very good, which made our stay more pleasant.
Nothing. It’s a well established hotel which is well managed.
Old fashioned in the nicest sense with good sized rooms and window one could open. Superb breakfast and evening entertainment was good overall
Size of hotel meant long walk to room but no other complaints
It’s like going back in time. It has an air of sophistication and glamour and the staff are all amazing. Pan in the restaurant has the most beautiful way of making her guests feel special ❤️
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

I liked the view from the window
Wasn't as advertised, had to swap rooms didnt even get offered any part refund. Ruined our time away no cold water and toilet wouldnt flush
nothing actually the opting out of the car park was really a principal thing but bad for me there was no easy access for older infirm people i have a blue badge and being 83 i found this very very poor the showering facilities were 30 years out of date there was no information how to work the TV had to get help there was no information about what the hotel offered and where they were it was like pulling teeth the non alcoholic drinks were greatly over priced the five or six pieces of furniture in my bedroom were from the forties or charity shops and unlucky me just tried the great Imperial Hotel when the pool was not available I did have my trunks with me honest my wife and i had many holidays before she passed away 3 years ago in hotel next to the IMP so knew the area well ive not been to Blackpool for probably 6/7 years drove up and down the promenade 3 times on this visit very very sad to see some of the state of the properties I first went to Blackpool when i was 2 81 years ago to finish wont be going back description for the Imperial Hotel Shabby Mr Burrows Cheadle Stockport
its all written above
Lovely historic hotel with a decent-sized car park
Room nice and warm
Excellent breakfast
Staff friendly and helpful
Very good value for money, especially the DBB rate, although the menu choices have been cut down since our last visit
Only 1 person on duty on Reception - it took us 20 mins to check in and there was a queue behind us
Our TV only worked for 2 out of 3 nights - no signal
Wallpaper in the corner peeling off
Toilet handle was virtually falling off the wall
Cheap watery hand/body/hair wash - recommend taking your own!
