The room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable. And we had plenry of tea and coffee. Breafast was plentyfull.
Entretainment was good too.
Good location near tram stop.lovely staff.large room nice bath, comfy bed.entertainment at night.
Room a little dated. And didn't have a fridge.
The location was excellent, the building dated but elegant. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The bar staff and reception staff were warm and friendly.
We booked a deluxe room, which included 2 dressing gowns which were OK unfortunately they did not come with belts, a bit strange, I informed reception who acted quickly and got house keeping to bring 2 clean dressing gowns sadly no belts again.
I dont think that for the price i pay to stay there once every 2 weeks that you could find any hotel as nice as this anywere in the uk.
Nothing at all
It's a lovely "Grand Hotel". We parked 3 motorcycles in a single bay so were only charged for 1 space. The lobby is a very impressive space & the corridors continued this theme. We ate dinner in the bar & the burger was one of the best I've ever had!
The breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice & regularly topped up.
The location is great, looking directly across the rouad to the sea & not too close to the hubbub of the town.
Great hotel..been few times .
Nothing really ..friendly staff.
Parking very expensive bearing in mind its on hotel land and ran by a 3rd party,
Very good all round
Lack of staff8
The room was dirty, mould in the fridge, all round the bath, bath matt was covered! The floor looked like it hadn’t been hoovered or cleaned for months!
If I didn’t have a tired little boy with me who needed sleep I would of left was very disappointed ☹️
Plus I did my car parking and now been sent letters saying I didn’t do it and have a parking fine!
The only good thing was we saw one cleaning lady in the hallway and she was lovely with us 🙂
The hotel as we've stopped before
Being given keys to a room with peoples belongings being in there not good for security as this could of been alot worse this should of been checked left my Mrs uneasy for the night in our next room they gave us
Very clean fresh linen quiet had a late booking in time at my request could park at the hotel staff very pleasent
We keep returning as lovely stay in a regal hotel
Room 405 was ok as it was late booking but for one night was fine
Clean warm and spacious just low ceiling and small window other rooms have been very good though and won’t put us off returning
I had a big room with old bathroom. No problem, sea view ( extra rate) was wonderful and made this stay really plesant. Old glory and very polite employees.
Old windows had a draft when the wind blew harder. At the reception area were always two exits open which made it very unpleasant to stay there for a coffee.
Restaurant works with cheap ingredients, fish was good but I would never ever eat that with beans....
As it is a historic building I did not expect perfection... so it was good to have been there but I will not go a 2nd time .
