Hotel is lovely but unfortunately given very basic rooms when we had paid for superior rooms.
Pros:

We have stayed at this hotel before and it is a fabulous hotel in a great location. However we did experience some issues on this visit.

Cons:

We had booked superior rooms for the first part of our stay and my parents who were accompanying us had never visited the hotel before. Unfortunately the superior rooms we had booked and paid for were unavailable. We were told that rooms may have been available for us to change the following day but could not be guaranteed. However we were attending an event the following day that meant we would be out of the hotel from early morning until very late so when we next had a chance to speak to reception it was 11.30pm and it certainly wouldn't have been convenient for us to consider changing rooms at that time. We were given complimentary breakfast and the staff we dealt with were very apologetic about the mix up but it was a very disappointing experience especially as it was my parents first visit and although the rooms were clean and comfortable they were really very basic compared to what we had stayed in before. In hindsight I also don't believe that the cost of breakfast really compensated for the stark difference in the quality of the rooms.

Comfortable room with a quiet breakfast area
Pros:

Breakfast was buffet style and well stocked. The breakfast room was quiet with a nice view.
Our room was large and comfortable.

Cons:

The 18" inch step into the shower was too high.
