Avoid this hotel as much as you can!!!
Pros:

Avoid this hotel as much as you can!!!

Hilton Greenville, you have problems let's talk about it.
My first impression of this hotel as I was walking in with my wife and toddler was a Gazebo to the left of the main entrance if you are looking at the hotel. This Gazebo served as a permanent Marijuana hotbox. I have nothing against Marijuana it's just not the scene I was expecting going into a Hilton. Now lets be honest this is not something the hotel can’t really control, but a bunch of people smoking weed and cat calling also does not spell Hilton in my book.

Check in was great and the room was clean, really clean. (The good is the good).

The elevator situation is terrible. They are under a remodel so out of three guest elevators only one was working. (Two if you count the hack that most guests were using the service elevator to the back of the property). You will wait A LOT for the elevator and after waiting and waiting and WAITING it finally arrives at your floor full of people who were also waiting, so what do you do? You guessed it, you wait some more. This got really annoying as time went by.

The AC in the room could be set to 65 degrees and it will feel warm in the room during the night time and come morning the room feels cold.

My toddler had an accident in the middle of the night and he threw up soiling some of the bed sheets. I called the front desk multiple times as no one picked up. After many attempts I get a voice that greets me by saying:

Operator: Thank you for calling the front desk.
Me: Hi, who am I speaking with?
Operator: Front desk
Me: Hi sir, I would like to address you by name it is the polite thing to do
Operator: Ohh umm Erick.

Why am I as a guest begging someone in a Hilton property for their name? Has hospitality fallen that bad in 2026 that we no longer care for core values of establishing personal connections with guests that we fail to even introduce ourselves?

Anyway, I explained to Erick what my situation was and he told me he could send a security guard to housekeeping to see if they can find me a bed set change for my room. I was not hopeful just based on the way Erick made this sound, luckily they found one and the security person brought it to me.

I changed my own bed set, and I placed my soiled bed set in a trash bag that I asked Erick to send up as well. Once I changed my bed, bathed my baby and set him to sleep. I took the bag full of soiled linen out of my room. Leaving the bag on the floor outside of the room with no warning as to what the conditions of the bag were did not seem fair to me so I walked the 7th floor and to my surprise I found an unsecured housekeeping closet that allowed me to get myself a fresh set of towels and cleaning supplies. I also found a sharpie that I was able use to write biohazard material on the bag. (Sounds dramatic but that is how human waste is classified).

Might want to look into this whole unsecured housekeeping closet doors Hilton Greenville not only does it grant access to your housekeeping chemical supplies but it has access to your housekeeping linen chute and ohh boy is that a problem waiting to happen if a curious child start looking down that hatch.

For the remainder of the night, I had my DND sign on (blue side). I left the room at noon and I flipped it to the “service my room side” (White side). The housekeeper on my floor had a sign on her cart that said “Cindy”. (She may not have been the person assigned to my room).

I came back to my room closer to 2ish 3pm ish and the room had not been serviced. The housekeeper was right next to my room. I left again and I came back closer to the PM side and well you guessed it my room was not serviced.

Your website does not state anywhere that you have interrupted or limited housekeeping service, nor is there an environmentally conscious sticker or sign in the room that tells me that if I want service I must request it as it is not provided. But on top of that the flip card on the door is a dead give away that I am asking for service.

this is where you could have avoided me writing this publicly and you missed your shot.
I went to the front desk and I spoke to a female. I asked her if you only offer service on every other day or anything of the sort that I am missing and her answer was “I think so but if you put the service card on your room they should do the room”. I explained to her that I did and she answered by explaining to me that the placard system does not work, it confuses the housekeepers because they don't or cant read the letters on the placard.

I told her that it seemed mighty inconvenient for me as a guest if your own proprietary system put in place by Hilton does not work the way you intend it to. Her answer, “yeah the card system is a problem” no solution offered, no “hey can I get you someone to go service the room now?”, no ‘can I get someone to take you some towels and I will put your room down for service first thing in the morning tomorrow?”, nothing.

Hilton, this is all you have, how do you expect to win the battle of people that have abandoned your loyalty for Airbnb if you suck at the most basic things that would make a difference to such an industry? At this point I would rather stay at the Ikea cookie cutter charmless Airbnb if this is how you are treating guests with the most basic things that you can control. Hilton who are you?

My reservation was done through a third party, and there was nothing I could do to early checkout of this property as I refused to stay here for the remainder of my stay. (this is not the hotel's fault, this is how third parties work.) But I left anyway, two days early. I ate the cost of those two nights as that was still a better experience than staying at your hotel.

PS: Dear GM I know how this part works, you come in the next morning with coffee in hand and Monday night quarter back your way through mitigating the damage that negative reviews give your Hilton Honor / Medallia rankings in your comp set. Sometimes the best way out is to discredit the guest’s words. Just know that out of respect to the industry I once lived for I did not post pictures with evidence of everything I just stated above.
I don't need you to reach out, I just want you to do better for the next person because this is not it.
