We enjoyed 7 nights at The Rubens at The Palace. The location in Westminster is beautiful with plenty of dining on site at the Rubens as well as within walking distance. The rooms are clean, well kept with daily housekeeping service. The front desk, doorman, concierge, room service staff and restaurant staff are all very accommodating, professional and friendly. There is always someone quickly opening the door for guests and assisting with luggage. While in London we took a nice tour of Buckingham palace and St. James park which is a short walk from Hotel. There are 2 nearby grocery stores if needed, very short walk from hotel. Also locally with a quick taxi you can enjoy Chelsea, SOHO, and Hyde Park, and Harrods all areas with great shopping and dining. We saw a musical in the West End, also a short taxi. Bellman hail taxis for you whenever needed. The staff truly does everything necessary to provide a most comfortable and luxurious stay in London.
Location superb for central London attractions. Staff warm and welcoming.
Nothing
The elevator very small
The road to the rooms kind of scary very bad and too many doors at night time as if you are in a horror movie
The rooms was so tight
I didn’t know why there is extra bed in the room
Excellent breakfast, love the location
Room smaller than we thought, very small bathroom.
Wonderful friendly staff.
Dodgy shower installation which meant you couldn't cool the water down properly.
We had the best stay in the Rubens At The Palace: the whole team, from the waiters and waitresses, to the front desk and of course the concierge, always here to help, to direct and to catch a cab! The food is delicious, whereas breakfast or dinner, and do not miss the teatime, the best in town! We felt like we were in a friendly house. Many thanks to all the team and we will be back with the greatest pleasure! Alexandra and Eleonore
We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect for sightseeing, and the hotel staff very friendly and helpfull. Very good breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
What can we say about the Rubens!!! Top notch all around! Accommodations, food and staff were superb and super accommodating! Definitely a place to come back to.
We went into the New York bar to escape the heat. There are prices, London prices and extortionate prices. £37 for a white wine spritzer and a small bottle of beer is beyond extortionate.
Very welcoming and warm service right from the start. We got an upgrade to a suite free of charge upon arrival and Henry VII was truly a wonderful room to stay in. Breakfast was also good and we can highly recommend dining at The English Grill as well. To all the staff at the Rubens. Thank you. You were amazing. Location is peak London right by Buckingham Palace. We will hopefully be back soon. Thank you.
This is the fourth time I have stayed: bc of the location; the staff and the facility
The afternoon tea is a bit 'clunky': the sandwiches and cakes are not 'refined': cakes were on the large side and flavours were odd; sandwiches were not uniform and rather chunky: the scones however were light and fluffy with no hint of flour aftertaste: definitely the highlight as was the clotted cream
Stayed her for a few days in April ‘26. Loved it: great location (right behind Buckingham Palace), elegant, friendly helpful staff. We travel frequently & prefer older elegant ‘boutique’ type hotels, and this fit the bill beautifully. And this is the first hotel we’ve ever stayed in that we’d return to just due to the helpfulness & attentiveness of ‘Jan the doorman’ - made us feel like royalty!
