Great location close to everything and directly opposite Royal Mews
Pros:

Perfect location , exceptional staff

Cons:

The automatic addition of gratuity to your bar bill and then again to the same bill when paying on departure, if I wish to tip please let me do so

Liked the location and staff was mostly very good, but, some experiences were disappointing.
Pros:

We liked the classic decor, location and (mostly) friendly staff.

Cons:

Did not enjoy our dinner in the Curry House restaurant. They did not seem to be expecting us despite my email confirmation of the reservation. Staff was aloof, food choice was average and limited. We love Indian food and have eaten it all over the world. Disappointing experience.
Afternoon tea was only average compared to others we have had in high end venues likes Fortnum and Mason, The Empress Hotel in Victoria. The staff for the tea was very good, but the food was only average. Also unhappy about extra charges on our bill at check out that had not been explained. Daily service charges and a charge for breakfast we never had.

Pros:

Stunning all around. Location is spectacular, hotel is exquisite but the real gem is the staff. Alicia and the desk, can’t not say enough about how she made us feel welcomed. The door man was also the highlight of our trip. The care he took with my mother was heartwarming- the concierges were so on point they did things before you needed to ask. Thank you to the The Rubins staff . We will be back.

Perfect location for us- very near tube station

Cons:

Room was lovely if a little small. The biggest thing I didn't like was the pressure to provide a tip for service afterwards. Service was fine but not exceptional but you actively have to refuse to tip/ ask the receptionist to refund you tip for service rather than giving on your own terms. It put me off going back. Surely if you pay staff appropriately a normal level of expected hotel service should be what you've already paid for in the price of the room.

The facilities were amazing and staff helpful.

Cons:

I had to bring my own drinks up to my room when I ordered them downstairs and when I ordered water to the room (3 500ml bottles) it came to £26! For three waters.

Lovely experience made memorable by fantastic team members
Pros:

The staff really made this stay. They were absolutely the heart of the place and took a lovely London hotel to the next level. Joe, Jan the doorman, shrusti at reception, John the concierge, Chloe the lovely waitress, honestly just gorgeous people! There were many more beautiful staff too. Myself and my ten month old were traveling alone and they made the stay really fantastic. We will certainly be back next time we’re in London.

Cons:

Nothing, maybe the service charges added on. I think I’d rather a higher base price in general over the service charges.

Pros:

Food and cocktails in the bar were excellent. Breakfast and afternoon tea were good. Location was excellent as we were visiting Buckingham palace. Very polite, helpful and welcoming staff.

Cons:

Dress code for afternoon tea was not adhered to as a couple of families had sportswear/baseball caps on which spoilt the ambiance when we had come for a special occasion.
