The people and the vibe!
I recently stayed at The Rubens at the Palace and had a truly lovely experience. Although my visit was brief, it was exactly the rest I needed, and I’m already looking forward to returning later this year.
From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel incredibly welcome. My colleague and I were so grateful for the early check-in and the complimentary room upgrade - such a thoughtful touch that really set the tone for our stay.
The location is fantastic, making it easy to enjoy London’s highlights. We spent our evenings at meetings and events, and on returning to the hotel, it was a pleasure to come back to such a calm and comfortable environment.
Breakfast at the hotel was a real highlight - highly recommend the pistachio French toast, paired with a ginger shot, which was the perfect way to start the day after a busy evening.
Despite having a packed schedule waiting for us back home, the peace and quiet of the Rubens over those two nights provided a perfect reset.
Thank you to the whole team for such a warm and memorable stay - I look forward to visiting again soon.
The Reubens is an Edwardian-style hotel with all the ambiance, luxury, and elegance we expected! The entire staff was excellent and seemed to be at our beck and call. The amazing JT manned the concierge desk! There was never a question or a task that he couldn’t find an answer to or a remedy for. The location was close to all the sites we visited.
Lovely classic hotel right next to Buckingham Palace mews. Service amazing.
From arrival, during your stay, in and out of Reception all staff are very welcoming & helpful. I have been in hotels around the world but I have never known such lovely genuinely welcoming staff.
I was also quite unwell during my stay. The staff rang checking I was okay & asking if they could be of any assistance.
Will happily stay here again. Thank you 🤗
Fantastic hotel - the rooms were lovely, the food was great and all of the team are so friendly and helpful.
Fantastic location, spacious rooms, great food and all of the team were so friendly and helpful.
The hotel is amazing. Every member of staff is super attentive and the location is perfect
We had a lovely stay! There were nine of our family group with four separate rooms and we were all very happy with the accommodations, the staff and the location!
la posizione.lo staff gentile e collaborativo
l'hotel in generale appare vecchio ma le camere non sono da cinque stelle..Chi ha dato una valutazione così alta non ha mai soggiornato in un vero cinque stelle.io sono rimasta delusa
staff
bed too small
The whole experience from start to finish at The Rubens is absolutely fantastic! Staff effortlessly ensure you are made to feel like a special guest and are so happy to help you to ensure your stay is outstanding.
Nothing
Location, service and breakfast
Position, ambiance, style.
Noisy, very aware of movement next room and above. Not soft closing doors!
A great hotel in a great location.
We were at first put in a room (blue striped room with King Charles on the wall) that didn’t have any windows that opened and the two windows in there had permanently closed blinds so we did ask for the possibility of being moved to a room with more natural light.
The manager was more than obliging and just said “it’s totally personal preference, we understand”, we were then offered a room with much more light so we were happy.
We stayed here for a theatre production of Wicked. It’s great proximity to the Apollo Victoria Theatre and the Wicked afternoon tea held at The Clermont 🫖
Great amenities and service. Both rooms very clean. Bar is really cool, old school vibe but quite dark.
Would stay again for sure when back in LDN 🇬🇧
The staff were wonderful, friendly, very helpful and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was very good. The rooms are small compared to US, but the bed was comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommended.
We stayed 4 nights at this lovely hotel and were treated like royalty. Our location was perfect walking distance to palace, Westminster and parliament/big ben. If we needed a taxi, the doorman was able to get one for us quickly. The full breakfast was well worth it each morning and the bar at the English Grill was a nice respite one evening for my husband's birthday before we headed out for dinner. They were even so kind as to get us take away breakfast on our last day as our travels were before breakfast opened. They alerted us when our car/transfer had arrived and loaded all bags for us. Highly recommended
This was our second stay at Rubens at the Palace and this is a fantastic hotel! Centrally located and very elegant but what sets it apart is the staff members whom we have come to know by name. So friendly, efficient and helpful in every single way. My husband and I travel a lot and we highly recommend all Red Carnation Hotels but in particular the Rubens…we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
