Pros:

Staff especially concierge were lovely and very helpful. They went out of their way to make us happy.
The location was excellent, close to lots.of buses and the tube and next to V&A museum. Lots of great cafe and places to dine nearby.

Cons:

The breakfast could do with a bit of uplift, especially offering more vegan and keto friendly options.
Also, it would.be great if it opens at 6am not 7am.
Our room had a bad noise in the central heating system, but the staff were speedy in relocating us to another room.

Nice hotel , spa is extra.
Pros:

Great location, clean and decent sized room (king suite)

Cons:

Booked specifically for the spa only to find on arrival it was an additional cost per person for every use. (£15 per person and it closed 30 mins after we went)

Adored it!
Pros:

I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in London with my husband. This trip I traveled with 3 other women. I have NEVER had a warmer or more courteous stay in any other hotel. The staff is REMARKABLE!

Pros:

Great return visit
Pros:

This was the 4th time I’ve stayed in this hotel and the best to date. I pestered them about the room a bit beforehand as I was disappointed last time that my request for a quiet room hadn’t been listened to. We had a very nice room at the back of the hotel on the 5th floor. If poor sleep is an issue this hotel is on a main road in London! The staff were all good, they sorted out the bus we needed to get to our destination and the concierge even ran over the road with me, almost stopping the traffic, to make sure I caught the bus as it was at the stop. We don’t think the breakfast are great, particularly the gluten free selection, but good enough. The complimentary drinks are a nice touch too. We will always stay here when in London as the hotel is in a great location, lots of good cafes and restaurants nearby and the station is 5 mins away. I can recommend the Italian restaurant Pierino mins away. I would definitely recommend although most of my friends stay here anyway.

Air conditioning failure ruined an expensive trip
Pros:

chose this hotel specifically because I was told the air conditioning worked properly. Before booking, I even called to make sure of it, as the entire purpose of my trip was to buy over £1,500 worth of exclusive chocolate that had to be stored in a cool room.
For the first two days everything was fine. Then, as the outside temperature increased, the room became extremely hot. I woke up drenched in sweat and immediately realized something was wrong. The hotel inspected the air conditioning but insisted it was "working" and simply blamed the warmer weather. If the room becomes too hot to sleep in and too hot to protect expensive chocolate, then the air conditioning is clearly not doing its job.
I spent the entire morning distressed instead of enjoying the plans I had made. I had to cancel a lunch reservation because I was stuck dealing with this situation, worrying that my chocolate had already been ruined.
What disappointed me most was not only the problem itself, but the attitude. Instead of trying to help, the manager immediately became defensive and suggested that I should have stored the chocolate in the minibar. The minibar refrigerator was far too small for over 40 chocolate bars and was not an appropriate solution. Despite my repeated requests, the hotel refused to offer any suitable place to store them.
The only bright spot was Neil and Pablo. They treated me with kindness, empathy and professionalism. Neil even said the hotel should help me find a solution, and Pablo showed genuine understanding when I returned later. They are an asset to this hotel and deserve recognition.
Sadly, because of how this situation was handled, what should have been a wonderful stay ended with unnecessary stress, tears and disappointment.
Before leaving, I spoke with another manager who was polite and took the time to listen. Unfortunately, the hotel still refused to offer any compensation. I was told they could not take responsibility for food kept in the room. However, my question remains: if the air conditioning was supposedly working properly, why did my room remain at 26°C? At times it was even cooler outside. I specifically booked this hotel because it had air conditioning, as I was transporting approximately £1,150 worth of temperature-sensitive chocolate. The countless hours I spent reporting the problem, changing rooms, documenting everything and repeatedly asking for help completely overshadowed my stay. An apology does not make up for two sleepless nights or the holiday time I lost dealing with a problem that should never have happened.

Refused To Replace Custom Retainer Thrown Away by Staff
Pros:

The location was great, the room was adequate, and the value was good. Unfortunately, this review is not about any of those things.

After returning home for our second night at the hotel, I noticed that the housekeeping had accidentally thrown away my retainer (custom dental device). I've traveled enough to realize that hey - accidents happen sometimes. After alerting the hotel, returning home, and exchanging a series of emails with The Rembrandt (and Sarova, the owner), they refused to take any responsibility.

They repeatedly said they asked the housekeeper, who said she didn't do it, and said it was their policy to not throw away guest items. At no point was I insinuating anything intentional or malicious: an item of mine was thrown away by accident, and I asked for a reimbursement (and would provide a receipt). This ended up being a $235 USD cost to me.

In a city with plenty of great hotels, I would not recommend The Rembrandt, simply because if something happens (even an accident), they will NOT take responsibility and make things right. It's not worth running that risk in a city full of other options that will actually take care of their guests.
