Important information:

Breakfast is only included for extra guests when they have paid for an extra bed. Extra beds cost an additional GBP 40 per person per night.

Families are welcome at The Rembrandt, and children aged 4 or under stay for free when sharing with an adult. For families of three, a number of rooms can either accommodate a roll-away bed or a sofa bed. Guests must notify the hotel at the time of booking through Special Requests exactly how many adults and children will be in each room. Please be advised that the hotel cannot always guarantee a room if they are not made aware in advance that there will be three people in one room.

If you have reserved a rate that requires a deposit, for your security, the credit card used for pre-payment must be presented at check in. If the guest does not have access to that credit card, they must be able to provide an official form of photo I.D. i.e. Passport or photo driving license, a copy of which will be retained by the hotel.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 07:00 - 21:00, and Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 08:00 - 20:00

Room was hot. The ancient AC didn't work. The window couldn't be opened. There was a small table fan. It was stifling. Smelly. Awful. Under the conditions at the time, no paying guest should have been expected to stay in that room.

Excellent location and quality hotel.
Pros:

Location was perfect so I could attend a concert at the Royal Albert Hall, only 500 metres away. Plus Breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

It was a little expensive for my small budget which will limit my ability to stay there in the future.

We chose The Rembrandt as the base for a significant family week — my son's last week before starting university in London — and on its greatest strength it delivered completely. The location is close to unbeatable: the V&A literally opposite, the Natural History Museum minutes away, Hyde Park and Harrods an easy walk, and South Kensington tube three minutes from the door, putting the whole city one Piccadilly line ride away. For a family running long museum days who needed to pop back and rest between outings, that geography was worth more than any amenity. Early mornings in the museum quarter, before the crowds, were a quiet joy only this address makes possible.
Core operations were mostly solid — smooth check-in and checkout, accurate billing to the penny, consistent housekeeping, quiet rooms and good sleep every night — though the lifts played up constantly all week, a daily irritant in a building you can't avoid them in. My son is autistic, and the hotel's calm atmosphere and fixed morning routine served him well — though nobody ever asked if we had any needs, and a simple pre-arrival question would cost the hotel nothing.

Cons:

Beyond the basics, though, the product disappoints on three fronts. The rooms are visibly dated and, worse, very claustrophobic — clean and quiet, but cramped to the point of feeling closed-in for two adults, with worn fabrics, flat lighting and a design language from another era; by mid-week we were actively minimising time in ours, which defeats the point of a hotel room. The included breakfast is traditional and, frankly, very boring: identical across six mornings, fine for a two-night stay, a chore on a longer one. And the pool and gym were a letdown — small, basic, and below the price point; worse, the advertised adult-only evening timings were not honoured, with children's classes still running after 6:30pm, forcing us to cancel a planned evening swim. A published timetable a hotel ignores is worse than none. Dinner in the hotel (£115 for two) completed the pattern — convenient and competent, but priced above its ambition when far better evenings sit within ten minutes' walk. Service throughout was courteous but purely transactional.
Verdict: fair headline value (£334/night for two with breakfast in South Kensington) and an irreplaceable location — but cramped, dated rooms, unreliable lifts, a monotonous breakfast, a disappointing pool with an unenforced schedule, and dining without ambition mean the postcode is doing all the work. Until the interiors and amenities get real investment, we'll admire the address from a more modern hotel nearby. The frustrating thing is how close it is: this property is one proper renovation away from being excellent.

Apart from comment about breakfast we had a lovely stay.
Pros:

Location was perfect for the Royal Albert Hall, rooms well sound proofed so nice and quiet with lounge area on ground floor lovely to use too.

Cons:

Breakfast was not particularly well stocked with some of the basics and we were not late to breakfast.
