Hates kids old dirty run down hotel staff is beyond rude would go to Gaylord instead
The Ritz lives and dies on service and unexpected (but....let's be honest 'expected') touches. The Denver presentation is a miss. Nice room? Yes. But...is anyone staying at a Ritz and thinking...clean bed? That's a win!
If you are looking for a place to sleep you absolutely will be satisfied by the Denver Ritz. If you're looking for a bit "more" I don't know...you better temper those expectations.
The hotel is fine, the hotel is clean...but it is 100% not what you are expecting, especially in comparison to the Bacara or heck even the LA version (another good....but who is looking for "good" when staying at such a superlative name).
The biggest complaint...you really do not have an on-property dining option. This is a tower fronting as a luxury hotel. It's fine, but man....if this was your single experience of a Ritz you certainly would not be coming back.
Denver, you could probably do without a Ritz rather than having a bottom of the barrel expression of the name.
ALWAYS was great for lunch/brunch and breakfast.....delicious food and not crowded at all. I chose the hotel because it was walking distance from the event that I was attending.
Only the carpet in the room seemed like it needs replacing, other than that the room was excellent.
We have stayed at numerous Ritz-Carlton properties across California, New York, Hawaii, and Japan, and this was our first stay in Denver. Unfortunately, it was, without question, the most disappointing experience we have had with the brand.
The most significant issue was the clear misrepresentation of the guest rooms on your website. The rooms are described and depicted as featuring a modern design in royal blue and shades of gray. In reality, our room was entirely different—outdated, and decorated in beige and brown tones, with none of the finishes or aesthetic shown online. This was not a minor variation; it was a completely different product.
When I raised this issue with the Front Desk, I was informed that the website images reflect potential future renovations that have not yet been approved, and that only three rooms currently resemble those images. Advertising rooms that do not exist for the vast majority of guests—and may not exist at all pending approval—is misleading and unacceptable. This created a clear bait-and-switch situation and set expectations that the property does not currently meet.
The condition and presentation of the room were far below what we expect from the Ritz-Carlton brand and more closely aligned with a standard four-star hotel.
Additionally, the Front Desk experience during check-in and the following day was underwhelming and lacked the level of service and attentiveness typically associated with Ritz-Carlton. While the team was far more helpful and friendly on our final day—particularly in accommodating a late checkout due to my husband experiencing high altitude sickness—the inconsistency in service was disappointing.
I would like to note that the valet and front door staff were consistently warm and welcoming.
Overall, this experience did not reflect the standards, transparency, or service excellence that define the Ritz Carlton brand.
I emailed the GM with this review and received a neutral cut and paste response from the assistant, not addressing the issues.
The building was beautiful and the room was amazing. They even gave me a free upgrade for my anniversary, which made the stay extra special. The fitness center and spa were wonderful as well. As nice as all of that was, the staff truly stood out—they were even greater and made the entire experience unforgettable.
My room was awesome and the staff was AMAZING.
This well-appointed, modern hotel offers a clean, comfortable stay and is conveniently located within reach of many of the city’s “happening” spots. It strikes a nice balance between accessibility and a more relaxed atmosphere.
From the moment you arrive, the tone is set by a welcoming front desk team. Staff members like Gracie stand out for their warmth and inviting demeanor, making check-in feel personal rather than transactional.
The hotel’s spa is a welcome amenity, thoughtfully positioned across from a well-equipped fitness center. While the services themselves are solid, adding a dedicated relaxation room would elevate the post-treatment experience and provide guests a space to fully unwind.
If you choose to dine at the bar, you’re in for a treat. Josh delivers not only outstanding service but also a sense of humor and energy that keeps guests coming back. His engaging style turns a simple meal into an experience.
Overall, this hotel combines comfort, thoughtful amenities, and memorable service in a way that makes it easy to recommend—and even easier to return.
The hotel was immaculate, the place was clean with great finishes. The hotel staff was exemplary, they were extremely attentive and we appreciated everyday we were there. Top Notch.
Great staff,
Quick service on requests for sundries.
Great breakfast and wait staff
Fomos recebidos pela guest relation, chamada Julie, que fez com que nossa hospedagem se tornasse ainda melhor!
The evening I arrived at the Ritz Carlton - Denver, I knew that it was going to be quite the experience I was looking forward to for my Birthday. After a small delay at guest check-in, I made my way to my fabulous room and with much of my delight, welcomed a fine wine of the hotel's brand and fancy charcuterie board. The rest of the trip was fantastic. Nice restaurant next to a picturisque lobby where I enjoyed more photos and friendships to celebrate the occassion.
P.S., I have never-ever slept in a hotel bed as comfortable as RC, Denver. Hope they keep up the quality and everybody else should copy.
Everything!
Nothing
Room was not ready on time. They did upgrade us but the room’s bathroom was so dark we could not see. They then brought in a floor lamp for the bathroom. Someone signed for our Amazon package delivered to front desk but they couldn’t find it and never offered to reimburse us.
great hospitality
An excellent stay. Very warm welcome from Millie at the front desk with quick check in. Very spacious, clean and well appointed room on the 11th floor with a personalised message and gifts. Great service from Josh in Elway's and fantastic burgers full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Will happily stay again next time we're stopping in Denver.
The Ritz Denver has all of the service and amenities that the brand is known for. From that perspective it was great. It may also have been great if you were there for business in the immediate surrounding offices. However, if you’re there for pleasure, the hotel is surrounded only by offices and a dirt lot. There’s not a restaurant or convenience store in sight - or even any people. Food and shopping is only a few blocks away and an easy walk, but it feels soulless walking out the hotel door.
Also, the room I stayed in was pretty beat up and in need of renovation. One of the electrical outlets wasn’t attached to the wall. The hinge on the shower door and tile it was attached to were pulling off the wall and the handle was loose.
It’s a minor thing, but our bed didn’t have a top sheet, the comforter was thin so it was cold at night. I think the Ritz generally has a unique way they make their beds, but there was only a bottom sheet on this one.
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that this room was an exception and the rest are great.
Our experience was thoroughly enjoyable, from check-in (with Millie) to a very comfortable room and great blackberry mojitos courtesy of Josh at the bar. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
