Pros:

We have stayed at Gamston Lock numerous times to visit family in the locality. It is an ideal location, bus stop right outside. It is very quiet at night where the bedrooms are located away from the Pub/Restaurant area. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms too. It is clean & reasonably priced, especially mid week. The staff are very helpful & friendly.

Good overall hotel for a stop over and dinner
Pros:

I was traveling with my family (wife + 2 young boys) and we used this as a half way stopover to break up a long drive back home. Overall the hotel was easy to find and in a good location, with the space provided in the family room being adequate for all of us. Also for the price point the room and facilities were clean and well equipped.

Cons:

I did't like that the check in was located inside the adjacent pub, and that you are only informed of this via a sign when you enter the lobby of the hotel itself. This could be made more obvious prior to entering the hotel. But this is a very minor thing.
