Lovely hotel, perfect location, amazingly friendly staff, willingness to put problems right
Pros:

The front desk manager quickly resolved some difficulties I had with kindness and professionalism. She was warm, welcoming and compassionate, and dealt with all outstanding problems exactly as promised, righting mistakes and showing goodwill.

This ensured that our stay at the Leonardo was the most perfect weekend away that my husband and I could have hoped for.

During our stay we had a wonderful meal in the Marco Pierre White restaurant. Good service and ambience. Lovely menu. Feels really special.

Great parking, too (charges apply)

We also had a lovely meal in the bar restaurant, were we also had our fabulous breakfasts each morning. The menus are really good and the surroundings are beautiful thanks to the amazing, 3 or 4 storey, glass, triangular feature to one side of the hotel.

The staff really are the crowning glory of the Leonardo. We were made so welcome and the staff in the bar deserve extra-special mention.

The people we must mention by name, because they had the biggest impact on making our stay great were the front of house manager Georgiana, and Jess and her male bar colleague in the bar restaurant. Thank you for going the extra mile to make our stay so fantastic.

The Leonardo is definitely our go-to hotel, any time we are in Southampton, and we have already recommended it to the family!

We really hope to be lucky enough to return.

Cons:

Conflicting information about parking costs for guests and non-guests.

Maintenance in our room needs a little attention.

The stay was good. The fixture in the bathroom should not be so hard to turn on and off.
Pros:

Breakfast was good.

Cons:

Answering when called about the shower not turning off. I called the desk 3 times and then had to go down to get someone there.
