Very comfortable and clean. Wonderful little touches like a welcome wine, heated towel rail in the bathroom, good size TV.

The accommodation was a little rough around the edges, sealant and finish in the bathroom was looking tired and messy. A bit of TLC would make the biggest difference.
All staff I came into contact with were all professional and friendly. From housekeeping, restaurant, bar, reception.
Assisted room booked, as I live locally and friend visiting us and my home could not meet her needs, & electric wheelchair. The bedroom was nice, the bathroom dated and the floor looked dirty but I believe it was just old tiles and fittings.

Peak summer so room had some small spiders. Expected better cleaning
Everything was fine and we had no complaints at all until it came to check out.
When we checked in, a young guy at reception said that he needed to take a credit or debit card. I’ve had this before but the hotel just takes the card number or processes a nominal amount ie a penny. In this instance, the debited my account £50!
They said I’d get refunded whatever we hadn’t spent during our stay. We didn’t spend any money at the hotel so expected to be refunded upon check out. That apparently was not possible. It takes seconds to debit my account but after a week, I’m still waiting for a refund of my £50.
The policy is all wrong and I’ll NEVER do that again. Why should I have to chase my refund?
