“The Shelbourne hotel and staff were the shining star of our journey to Ireland. We will always remember the magical moments we experienced, from the welcoming staff to the surprises discovered inside this iconic building to the beautiful location. Food, the unbelievable tea experience. No words to describe this hotel. If you are going to get a room, we recommend a suite simply for the service, but honestly, get any room. It won't disappoint. The entire experience from everyone on the staff was filled with Sooo much love, Sooo beyond our highest expectations. Everyone deserves to have a little Shelbourne if they come to this grand emerald city. Truly, this place is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.”
“5 star service & accommodations. Friendly staff, great food in the restaurant. We were treated like royalty & with great respect. It was wonderful experience in every way. Also , the location was perfect!!”
Staff was wonderful, room was spacious and comfortable and clean. And location was ideal. We'll be back.
Beautiful stay. Great service.
We had an amazing lunch and the lady who served our table was so nice and courteous Keffer... the food we had was excellent. We also were assisted Karl Bowe at the Shelbourne Door. He was extremely helpful as we had a problem getting a taxi via our phone App., he arranged one for us in minutes via his phone. So a lovely experience all round at the Shelbourne Hotel will be back very soon. 🥂👏
Fabulous hotel, wonderful guest experience. The hotel is definitely the best hotel in Dublin in my opinion. The atmosphere, ambience and location are perfect. The staff are exceptional and my stay there was lovely
We celebrated a special anniversary spending 5 nights at the Shelbourne Hotel across from Saint Stephen’s Park. It was beyond what we hoped for and much more. Service by all staff was exceptional, from the greet by the Doorman, bellman, housekeeping, food service, room service, reception , and guest services was excellent every day we were there.
We wish to recognize and give special thanks to our main concierge contact Patrick. We started a few months before our stay corresponding with Patrick inquiring about transport and recommended sights and food reservations. We have never been treated better by any hotel staff in the USA or internationally. Rate Patrick a 5+ out of 5.
This historical hotel where Ireland history was made in the Constitution Room to the private guests only cocktail lounge is a must see to appreciate Ireland past and present.
Highly recommend this fine hotel and outstanding staff.
Amazing experience. Hotel was immaculate Staff was excellent and the location perfect.
Every detail was superb! The staff was cheerful and helpful! The facilities are clean and beautiful! Such a great experience!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights in the Mareen O’Hara suite! The Shelbourne offers the best of the old and the new and is centrally located within walking distance of many of Dublin’s sites/shops/pubs/restaurants worth visiting. The entire staff is pleasant and attentive and the service is exceptional. Breakfast buffet is top notch and will satisfy any palate. Only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.
Location was perfect. We loved the room. Dinner at the bar. Swimming pool. Running in the park. Very kind staff! Last leg of a three week trip. It was the perfect relaxing ending.
Food very nice we ate in restaurant. Breakfast v nice too. Very friendly & helpful staff. Grest location.
We think the room needs upgrading a bit. Seemed musty especially the chairs & curtains discoloured kind of shabby. Definitely not worth what we paid. Also the toilet was dripping all night & the toilet door handle broke off! Which we reported. We were not asked how our stay was when checking out. We had an incident at dinner whereby both myself & my sister received burns on our hands when handling a spoon in the mashed potato pot. We were given ice which helped. We were offered free drinks & dessert which was good. The staff handled very professionally to be fair.
The Shelbourne was all its cracked up to be. Beautiful, immaculate rooms, friendly and helpful staff and a lovely building. Worth the expense
This is a great hotel that is central to so much in Dublin. Walking distance to great shopping, museums, pubs, restaurants and St Stephens Park. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Our room was very comfortable. I give this hotel 2 thumbs up and would definitely stay there again.
I recently had the pleasure of attending a conference at the The Shelbourne, and while every member of the team was welcoming & attentive, one individual really stood out - Padraig.
From the moment we met him, Padraig’s genuine enthusiasm and passion for his work were unmistakable. What set him apart even further was his depth of knowledge about Irish history. Rather than simply providing service, he gave us an experience - he showed us the Constitution Room which was incredible. He went above & beyond what I would might expect, even at a hotel of this calibre.
Padraig is a real asset to The Shelbourne and Irish hospitality at it's best.
Gorgeous, classic, old style hotel. Meticulously maintained, very accomodating and friendly staff . Great location.
I’ve always wanted to stay at the Shelbourne and my latest trip to Ireland afforded me the opportunity. My experience was perfect from check in to check out. The location is wonderful, with St. Stephen’s Green across the road and Grafton Street and Trinity College in walking distance. The only downside was my stay wasn’t long enough. I will definitely be back.
You are made to feel special from the minute you are greeted at the door. Beautiful hotel. Spotless throughout. The breakfast was fantastic. Can't beat the location right across from St Stephen's Green.
