Rooms were clean and beds are comfortable
The pool was closed and the bar was closed this was not mentioned before booking and we booked here thinking we would be swimming and using hot tub. Going start charging $15 a night for parking which is just ridiculous. Anyway to get your money
Construction going on so couldn’t really sleep in lots of sketchy guys in the parking lot taking young girls to the rooms
Everything was malfunctioning at this location. The elevator and telephone in my room were out of order. The indoor swimming pool was closed, and the weight room was not in good condition. This was a waste of my money, especially since I was traveling with my son, an athlete who enjoys working out and swimming. I’ve been in better Embassy Suites, and this one in Colorado Springs will not get my money.
again.
Location was great, breakfast was good
I chose a specific room for my wife because there were no accessible rooms available during our stay. I intentionally selected Room 422 because it was located directly next to the elevator to minimize walking distance, as my wife is disabled. Unfortunately, the elevator on that side of the building was out of service, which forced her to walk a much greater distance than expected instead of just a few steps to our room. This was especially disappointing since the room location was chosen specifically for accessibility reasons.
I also felt the $150 incidental hold was unusually high. In my experience staying at other Hilton properties, including Homewood Suites locations, I have generally encountered lower incidental holds, so this amount felt excessive.
The $15 per-night parking fee also felt difficult to justify considering the parking lot is open and uncovered. Finding parking was challenging because several spaces were occupied by old mattresses and roll-off dumpsters due to the ongoing renovations. Given the limited availability and construction impact, parking should have been complimentary. For comparison, even the Broadmoor charges more for parking, but their fees come with covered parking and valet services. Charging for uncovered parking with reduced availability during active renovations felt unreasonable.
The property itself also feels quite dated and clearly needs the renovations currently taking place. The open atrium concept has potential, but it definitely needs some updating and a fresh look.
Overall, I understand renovations are temporary, but several of these issues had a noticeable impact on our stay and overall experience.
Good breakfast, locked entrance door reassuring safety.
Made a reservation for a queen suite room with a private balcony. When we got checked in the room didn't have a balcony. Asked if we could get moved to a room that had a balcony and the rooms were booked.
The elevators took forever! Then proceeded to ask to be put on the first floor so we didn't have to encounter that.
The hotel was also going through renovations, I feel like they should at least put that on the website along with the pool not working due to that.
I didn't like how the towels were on the counter, I waited for a blow dryer or never came.
I agree with recent reviews, I recommend avoiding this location until construction is complete.
1 of 3 elevators worked while I was there, rooms that haven’t been renivated are worn down. Should be a nice place after renovation. Parking weird, daily pay thru an app when there is a Hilton next door with free parking. are
Pretty much everything was amazing, definitely top 3 hotels I've ever stayed at
They recently change their free parking for paid parking, it was not updated on booking.com and they said they would not charge us and they still did.
The guy was correct that wrote about calling the main Hilton number to get anything accomplished.
I left 2 messages for the GM. Zero response and front desk manager was rude to me and also to the Hilton employees from the main number who were trying to help me.
So glad I did not have to stay there. They do not tell you that there is construction happening either.
Embassy Suites used to be top notch. Too bad it has gone downhill. Sounds like it's due to the people in charge.
Three hotels next door, Go There!
Parking is not free, $15 per night.
Hilton Diamond members don’t get any free upgrades and you won’t be offered a better room even for a fee. I let the hotel pick the room and it was next door to the construction workers room filled with tools and equipment. Only half the rooms were being actively renovated and that’s where they placed us. Hammering started above our head at 9am on Easter. Mountain View’s are extra so expect a first floor parking lot view next to the bar.
Newly remodeled rooms are just superficial changes. The bathroom is tiny with no room for more than 1 person and the back of your legs touch the toilet seat to turn on the shower. The bedroom switch, lights half the room all night with no way to dim it.
The staff is friendly if you don’t need anything. I called for an early check-in and was quoted $50. When I checked in and asked, I was told” No! “ I was wrong it’s only if you want to get in a room 2 hours early. No apology.
At check-out, I asked why I was put under construction and the clerk said no free upgrades to which I asked why he assumed we couldn’t afford a room without construction above it.
Breakfast is not replenished so get there early for fresh food.
The staff was super helpful and personable.
Very welcoming and friendly.
My mattress in room 441 was a bit worn.
I still slept well.
The fact that it was completely under renovation. That should have been disclosed prior to selection as it would have impacted my decision. The heat wasn’t working when we arrived. The toilet could barely flush. The phone in the room didn’t work so we couldn’t contact the front desk or room service. Also, the breakfast was mid. Glass cups were broken, chipped, or not available. There no napkins or condiments each morning ad that was frustrating. Not ketchup for eggs or jelly for toast, Etc…
BEWARE!! This place is a complete mess. If I could give the property and staff zero, I certainly would.
At check-in I inquired as to rennovations and location of ongoing construction. I was told “your rooms are on the opposite end of hotel.”
Of course, that was not true, and the hotel staff refused repeated requests to speak with management about noise, construction debris, poor/no air conditioning, etc. The breakfast standards at ALL Embassy Suites is a joke at this location. Food was never replenished, and no food was served one hour prior to the scheduled close of serving. Food service staff apologized, and stated “we were told not to put additional food out.”
After receiving no response from hotel management regarding my concerns, I spoke to “Oscar” at Hilton Customer Service.
Oscar was helpful and advised me to request a credit from the management team, and to call back if they were unwilling to offer a credit. Upon speaking to Shurronda Hill-Thomas, who claimed to be “in-charge” because the General Manger and Manger were “gone until next week,” and she had authority to issue any credit. After explaining the issues described, she stated “you were told about these problems,” directing me to a piece of paper at the check-in desk, stating “you will not be given any credit.”
Upon obtaining a folio print-out, another staff person named Erica appeared from a back office, claiming to be “in-charge.” After advising Erica of my conversations with Hilton Customer Servive, she stated “I am not issuing you a credit, and I don’t care what you were told.”
I called Hilton Customer Service (888-240-6152) obtaining a case number and full refund.
I have been a Hilton Honors member for over 15 years, and never experienced such incompetence from staff.
If you have a problem with this property, call Hilton at the toll free number listed above for a full refund.
I still have not received a telephone call from hotel management…. They simply don’t care!!!
Clean room
I requested early check in, my room wasn’t even ready at normal check in time. We had to wait for it to still be cleaned when we got there. Breakfast was disappointing. Went down at 745 am to eat and it was wiped clean of food and utensils. Had to go alert the front for anything to be done. The beds were so uncomfortable none of us slept good. Also, upset that I had no where to park because of the construction taking up half the parking.
Clean, the pool, and the room.
Only one elevator working for the entire hotel, we took a lot of stairs, but we were on the 4th floor. Also wifi went down for over 24 hours.
Room snd parking
Elavator issues - very poor - very poor cold breakfast
Nothing
One of the worst years we have stayed here. They are remodeling the hotel. One elevator works for the whole hotel. Breakfast was ridiculous. It starts at 7am by 730 there were no coffee, no glasses, waffle maker was out the whole time, they wouldn't refill the Breakfast station. The omelet station took the longest don't know what happened to the km. He was amazing.
Not the best years and paid full price.
