Subpar Embassy Suites - Possibly the worst in the Hilton portfolio
Pros:

This hotel exemplifies the larger problem across the entire Hilton brand - pay more and get less…and less…and less.

Just one example - We’ve all had to pay for parking at busy urban hotels, sporting and music venues, and even downtown shopping districts. This hotel is none of those things. It’s a property built in the 1980s in suburban Colorado Springs, located on an I-25 frontage road with literally nothing around it other than other small hotels and gas stations. So why would you charge guests a $15/night parking fee, and then institute a complex pay-by-phone app adding another $1 service charge/night OTHER than complete and utter greed?

Only two of the four hotel elevators are functioning. The front desk personnel are hit or miss. Some employees took a true interest in assistance, while others couldn’t be bothered to help. Management and ownership do not empower front desk employees. I lost track of how many times I heard “corporate told me to do it this way” or a version of “don’t blame me, blame the management.”

The bottom line? Don’t let yourself be nickeled and dimed by a greedy hotel owner. There are far better choices in northern Colorado Springs

Avoid!!
Pros:

Avoid this property! In first 1 hour of being here, heard one employee yell at another, didn't have digital key, wifi wasn't working, power went out and you had to pay a third party to park! This place is a joke, I travel a lot and know a bad place when I see it.

Putting lipstick on a pig
Pros:

Staff is good and trying hard. Nice omelet station. Good shower water pressure. Comfortable Bed. Nice TVs.

A throwback to the 1980s. New carpet and furniture in a 1980s hotel. TINY bathroom. Everything just dated. Parking was free for decades but now they up-charge you to park. Uninspiring evening free food. They are trying to keep an 80s hotel nice enough to keep getting people to pay to stay here. I prefer something newer with free parking and larger bathrooms. My opinion.

One of our Favorites!
Pros:

My family has been staying at this Embassy Suites this time of year for the last 15 years. We've watched this to convert from an old ageing building to what is now becoming a bright new refreshed facility. When we stayed, there was still a little renovation going on, but we were never in our room during the day because we were out touring Colorado. Therefore, it never bothered us. Our room was completely brand new with all new carpet and furniture. It even smelled new! The breakfast is as good as any Embassy I have been to in quite some time. They have really improved it. The last thing they just need to get fixed is the elevators. What's most important about this place is the people who work there. Special shout out to Alena, Elise, Sharonda and Colton. Alena was especially helpful before, during and even after the stay. For whatever reason she just took to us, and we took to her and it was a blessing to have had her there on staff that week. We get to see these folks every year, and it's become almost as important as seeing our family. People like this really are what make the hotel stay as important as anything! It is truly what makes a hotel stay memorable. Management really needs to take notice of these folks and take care of them.

Worse Embassy suite we have ever stayed at - never again.
Cons:

It was under repair - but website did not tell you that. The breakfast was a mess and they ran out of coffee among other things. The parking was $15 a day and the gates did not work properly

This hotel is merely pretending to be a real Embassy Suites.
Pros:

The room was fine and most of the staff were helpful. However this place is in no way up to the standards of a real Hilton Embassy Suites. Only a few of the elevators worked and it was an adventure to make the others function. I was told many of the elevators have not worked in years. When you walk into the lobby you are greeted with a large sign that has no facade so you look into the inner workings of what I what I was told will be completed someday. We were given a room only to find out it was being remodeled, and thus we were given another room. We were not the only ones--who is in charge here? Our bathroom had a sink that was slow to drain, the door did not close and the exhaust fan was LOUD and not of any help. Despite the many problems and loud reconstruction noises (8 to 6) there was no discount, but rather the fee charged was the same as a real Embassy Suites. Look elsewhere.
