I stayed for 3 days, and from the very first day I requested slippers. I was told they were already sold out. I even asked them to reserve a pair for me when new ones arrived the next day, but somehow there were still no slippers available during my entire stay. It was honestly shocking that a 4-star hotel could not provide enough slippers for its guests.
The housekeeping was also disappointing. There were some things left on the floor that should have been cleaned up, but even after the room was supposedly cleaned, they were still there. I also noticed hair left behind, which made the room feel poorly maintained.
Breakfast was another big disappointment. There were no basic salad or fresh vegetable options at all. The breakfast only consisted of about three kinds of bread, yogurt, bacon, sausage, omelets, and fruit. Charging $30–40 for such a limited breakfast selection is honestly unbelievable. At the very least, fresh vegetables and a proper drink station should be provided. There was not even a beverage corner, and I had to ask for water separately.
On top of that, Wi-Fi in the room required an extra charge, which is something I have almost never experienced before. Since the hotel is quite old, the air conditioner was extremely noisy, and the refrigerator in the room did not even work properly.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.
We loved the cleanliness and the lovation for this hotel.
The room was spacious and the location of the hotel was very centralized for us.
Nothing - we had no issues.
Love it!
Very beautiful hotel and spotlessly clean
I liked everything
Upon arrival, we were greeted with valet parking and support for our luggage. Our room was upgraded to a suite- the room was well equipped and was quite luxurious. Throughout our stay, we dined at the Consort Lounge and Victoria Cafe. The food and service were outstanding! We greatly look forward to our next visit.
Handy to what we were visiting. Lovely old hotel
Nothing
Elegant lobby, with the King Eddie's iconic chess pieces; great food and drink; friendly, helpful staff; comfortable, spacious accommodation; and ultra-convenient central location close to the UP and GO trains, and the subway.
Perfectly located for the station, CN tower and the distillery district. Loved the hotel decor, the staff were really friendly and helpful whilst our room on the 2nd floor was great - it just lacked a view. Would definitely choose the Omni King Edward if I visited Toronto again.
