Tivoli Alvor Algarve - All Inclusive Resort

A lovely hotel with great rooms and fantastic pools. As a family with a young family more flexibility to the dining halls and availability of snacks in the evening would make the stay more enjoyable. Everything closing at 11pm made the days feel like they were cut short. Some small things the hotel could change to make it a 10/10 stay.

The Tivoli Alvor has everything for the family, our first visit was 2024 and we have been here 6 times since . The staff and the hotel are top class ! The variety of restaurants is second to none and the food is amazing. But the thing that makes us return is the genuine welcome you get from the staff . Staff retention is obviously important to Tivoli Alvor as the majority of staff from 2024 are still here providing 5 star service. They are attentive to detail but not intrusive. It was our first time going all inclusive in 2024, and we have continued since in order to avail of the hotel facilities.
Our grandchildren use the kids club , suffice to say that there are tears every time we are leaving Tivoli Alvor which is testament to the quality of the facilities, and the friendships they have made with the brilliant staff.

The different entertainment shows nightly are a great opportunity to wind down from your day’s activities. There is great variety and the performances are very professional.

All in all if you want to have a special break, Tivoli Alvor is highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed.
The fact that we continually meet people who have returned numerous times is testament to quality of the product that Tivoli Alvor.

Fantastic hotel, village and beaches!
We stayed for ten days this June and, honestly, I’m still gutted to be home!
The room we had (double deluxe) was ample big enough for a family of three. It was clean, and modern.
The grounds were almost immaculate in most places.
Staff were plentiful and mostly very helpful.
The pools were great and entertainment was, well, entertaining 🙈😂
The only issues we had were with the food, which was ok to be fair, but lacking in allergen information.
Our son has a dairy allergy. We were told at the beginning there was no option to cook our son any dairy free pasta and were not told about the vegan desserts. A few days before we left, I complained to a Head Chef (Sofia), who was incredibly helpful and apologetic. She advised that the kitchens can make food free from certain allergens and promptly provided my son with some fresh pasta. Although the pasta on the side had no dairy added to it, it was close to the Parmesan so they could not guarantee no cross-contamination. This was apparently true for many other foods. Whilst I understand this, we went a week giving our young son very limited food options, believing there had been dairy added to pretty much everything else in all of the restaurants. The day after this, we also found out that there was always a vegan desert option tucked away at one end of the main restaurant, which we had never been told about before and had never found. So my son’s food options for the week were quite rubbish.
It would be great if the hotel could perhaps think about having one specified vegan / gluten free etc area, where everything can be dairy free, as we have found in many other hotels.
Aside from this, knowing what we know now, we would probably still return!

We were extremely pleased with our stay and experience at Trivoli. The facilities were brilliant and the setup is perfect for families. The staff were friendly and helpful and incredibly family orientated. The waiters and staff went over and above to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Abdallah was a great barman who took the time to really interact with the children and entertain them with a few magic tricks. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back again!

The available facilities were fantastic. Plenty to do with our 3 year old.
Staff were all very welcoming and friendly.
Rooms were very nice. Shower was excellent.

The food was good. Not exceptional but good, for a buffet it was excellent.
With the exception to one restaurant.

Mad Med was by far the best restaurant.

The sangria in the restaurants was the star of the show.

The nearby beach is fantastic

Amazing family friendly hotel. Was apprehensive due to some of the reviews online. Travelled with 2 teenagers, plenty of entertainment for all with the 3 pools , you can chill out if that's what you want. Plenty of sun loungers & no mad panic needed in the morning putting out towels!
Great selection of food, probably could do with more plain meat dishes, as opposed to those in sauces, just my personal choice. Staff are amazing everywhere you go, rooms clean & Nespresso machine was a lovely touch. Will definitely be back & if in doubt just book it!

Lovely hotel comfortable room and bed , friendly staff who were very obliging and helpful at all times. Plenty of activities and nice wee train to go down to Alvor . Very good value overall . Only thing I didn’t like was loud boom boom music sometimes played at pool area.

Second time staying at this wonderful place, we think it’s so good for family’s and the staff are exceptional. The same amazing staff where still there from last year and remembered my children going above and beyond to make them smile. Special thanks to Elizabete in Mad Max for making our daughter experience two years in a row, she talks about her even now! ! And we can’t thank Abdellah and Taruka enough for being the best staff, bringing laughs and magic to my children’s holiday, bringing genuine joy and excitement in the evenings, giving us magic tricks and special drinks for the kids every time we saw them. Honestly they were amazing and a credit to the hotel.

We stayed at the Tivoli Alvor Algarve for 11 nights early June, as a family of 3.
I must say having read some reviews prior to our stay I was apprehensive, however I was pleasantly surprised at how good the hotel was.
Firstly the positives; The kids club and entertainment staff are excellent. We also really enjoyed the food, especially the specialty restaurants. The resort itself is clean, with 3 pools and access to the beach (10 minute walk). We never had any issues getting a seat around the pool and also found the bar staff really good throughout (and wait staff)
Now the not so good; we did experience some issues, checking in being one of them, as they didn't have our reservation, this was rectified but not the greatest start at 1am.
We also had an issue with our room, the cleaner wasn't great and they didn't change the glasses/ cups for 11 days even though we asked, we had to ask for additional amenities like towels, toilet roll which I think is really poor. I did speak to reception and this still wasn't rectified.
We also had an issue where the phone to reception wasn't answered once, we once tried this whilst my husband went to the lobby as we wanted to check it wasn't our phone, and he could hear it ringing and not one of the 4 staff answered it. In the end I phoned from an external number. Again this is poor.
As a whole we had great holiday and stay, but there are definitely issues (mostly house keeping, and communication with the front of house) that said I would recommend a stay here especially if you have young children

This hotel is amazing! Me and my wife got to our room and was immediately happy with the size of the room, the bed was so comfy and extra beverages. We went straight to lunch and the buffet was immensely delicious! Loads of choices, fresh off the pan, loads of salads and the service was top. Special mention to Daljit Singh in the restaurant! Excellent service!

The amenities are excellent too. Steam room, sauna, indoor swimming pool, Turkish bath...clean, maintained and just so relaxing.

This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in yet and the service was excellent. Would love to come here again....
