Dirty and badly maintained
Pros:

The beds were comfortable

Cons:

The dirtiest and worst maintained place i have ever stayed in. Room had not been cleaned properly for some time - dust and cobwebs on all surfaces, mould in various places around the bathroom, broken shower fitting covered in limescale, stains on carpet. Bathroom bin full of previous occupants' rubbish, coffee tray covered in sugar etc.

1 large and 1 tiny towel provided for 2 persons. Height in shower approx 5'5".

Main building carpets in hallway stuck down with yellow and black tape, outside area dirty, peeling paint everywhere, menus, tables etc sticky and dirty.

I could go on ....

Barely ok!! Wouldn’t go back.
Pros:

Pub

Cons:

Only one small window opened up in the room in August! It has no AC which would have been ok if you could get air from outside. The bathroom window wouldn’t open, the switch to the light for the bathroom was broken. The mattresses looked ancient.

Pros:

Le point positif est l'emplacement. Le personnel au restaurant est très sympa.

Cons:

Handy and comfortable stopover.
Pros:

The staff at reception and breakfast were welcoming and pleasant. Though small the room has everything needed. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

It was a little warm overnight but hardly surprising in a heat wave.

Its no Premier Inn
Pros:

The title says it all really, our baseline is Premier inn. Unfortunately although the place looks quaint the accommodation is just ok, not having any air con & a fan just pushes the warm air around the room. The evening meal was nice but my breakfast was spoilt by a cardboard hash brown. In all it was adquete & convenient for the train to get to the race course

Pros:

Nothing to like about any of it.

Cons:

Appalling service, overpriced food, room unacceptable, booked a double room given a twin room, manager unhelpful.
Generally a very poorly managed property. so bad decided to check out a day early and find alternative accommodation. Would not go back and would not recommend.

Would definitely book again at that price.
Pros:

Great location. Pretty by night and by day. Friendly staff. Great garden . Cute room.

Cons:

Although the bed was clean, the wash basin had coffee stains on it and the bath hair in it. Not much. Just enough to make you feel slightly queasy. The menu was slightly sticky. And the bathroom very tired… although it was good value!

Beautiful pub and room just needs a couple of little tweaks and could be perfect!
Pros:

Lovely building. Perfect location for what we needed.

Cons:

Needed more Staff in the bar/restaurant area. The 2 girls serving were run ragged when we arrived.
The room we slept in was lovely but like walking into a sauna. Even after leaving the door wide open when we had a drink in the garden! The small fan provided made no difference at all.
The Green exit light, although I understand as necessary, was so bright in that little room it was like we hadn’t turned the lights off.

Pros:

The bed was comfy, the food was good

Cons:

The bathroom was dirty. The room had cobwebs and there was a emergency light on all night that was unnecessarily bright.
No stock of yoghurt and cornflakes on a basic breakfast menu.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The bed and bedding was very clean but the bathroom fittings were very tir
Pros:

Staff very helpful and informative

Cons:

Very small room and the front door and bedroom window opened straight into the car park. Taxi noise until very late and kept awake by train level crossing warnings.
Felt vulnerable as a single lady

Acceptable, the food let it down overall.
Pros:

The room was clean and comfortable and met our expecttions.

Cons:

The breakfast was below standard, the berries were frozen and the hot food was lukewarm. It felt like the food had been left standing for some time.

Good place for a short stop, with good.
Pros:

The room was clean and tidy, the food at the pub for the evening was good and the breakfast very nice.

Cons:

Having two bikes to store securely overnight meant that the room became very snug, but they were secure. With the location of the accommodation next to the main car park, we anticipated some noise as the pub shut, but it was very peaceful
