Average, did not exceed my expectations like The Manchester.
Pros:

Front desk availability is limited. The bed was dirty upon arrival, my room had to be switched. The new room bathroom door was broken. My room wasn’t cleaned by housekeeping on day 2. Overall I expected more from this location for the price.

Best experience at Origin Hotel
Pros:

We stayed at the Origin Hotel in Lexington, KY 2 weeks ago. I cannot mention enough good things about this little gem. Very close to downtown, good restaurants, a little quaint shopping avenue right as you walk out the front door. The people is the reason I am actually writing this. From the moment I walked in, I got the very last room available and thank God for the opportunity we had to be able to stay there. The lady that helped me in at the front desk was so delightful and the person after her, just as nice. The people in the restaurant were cordial and helpful, the whole experience was top class. Everything was very clean, decor was beautiful, rooms were pristine. I would like to share an experience that will make people laugh probably but nevertheless I will do it. I just loved the down pillow I slept on, but really probably the best pillow I slept on ever, not exaggerating. I actually emailed the hotel to find out about the pillow (should have looked myself when I was there right?) and my email was directed to Mike Skaggs who after talking for a while back and forth actually ended up shipping me the pillow I slept on. I was too scared to buy one on line and just not be the same so I asked him if he would and he actually did it. How nice is that? Thanks to Mike and Jennifer (person I directed my first email and then she forwarded it to Mike. Anyway, thanking all the staff for the unforgettable experience. Guess where I plan to stay when I go to Lexington again? :} Just as a bonus there's this Taco place called Condado Tacos, just as you walk out the door of the hotel, just right there and it has amazing food too. Overall a 1000% experience.

Poor service from housekeeping
Pros:

Location was convenient

Cons:

Housekeeping completely skipped cleaning our room the first day, then subsequently days after left things in our room, like a dirty pillowcase (hopefully ours), cleaning spray bottle, etc. It made us feel like the room was not really cleaned very well.

Reception didn’t have any clean towels on the day that housekeeping missed our room so we had to use small hand towels.

Cons:

We were in a handicap room and it was great EXCEPT that the floor of the shower was VERY slippery. Thank goodness there were grab bars as I couldn’t move without hanging on.

Too expensive for a dirty room. This place is short staffed and it shows.
Pros:

Check in is at 4pm. My room was ready at 7pm. I felt bad for the desk clerk. She must have apologized to 20 people. She did an excellent job. The room had cob webs. The shower had hair all over the walls. The room was warm until the sun went down. Only one elevator worked. Do not stay here.

Great stay. Would return.
Pros:

I really enjoyed the location. The overall style and the warm atmosphere in the lobby, bar and restaurant area.

Cons:

The full body mirror in the rooms are in a bad spot and very small. Not good for getting dressed. Also the bathroom faucet is too close to the sink bowl.
