The fact that there was bugs ants in my bathroom area and hairs all over the bathroom floor from whoever was in the room prior to me. Which I notified the front desk immediately in an email.

Good enough stay but nothing special
Pros:

The location was fine even though we stay there to go to La Jolla beach. Anything closer would be much more expensive. It was comfortable enough and clean. Nothing special.

Cons:

Considering it’s San Diego there’s more of a chance that it’s an older building and decor seemed dated, especially the carpeting.
Also due to being in San Diego, everything is pricey, the breakfast, even though we had free breakfast they leave the bill fold for you to sign, which gives you the opportunity to tip, even though tip is already included.
They bring coffee and water/juice to you. Sometimes I’d rather get it myself because small glasses and I was thirsty and it makes you feel to tip.
Parking is a $42 each night and our small SUV could barely park in the narrow lanes.
Beds were fine. Bathroom etc feels dated and for a Marriott I thought it would be better. Set up for conferences more than anything else.

The hotel itself and the staff were great, no complaints at all.
Cons:

Prices were very expensive for food/ drinks/ snacks and parking in the lot was very expensive. The cost doesn’t need to be so expensive.

Pros:

My family and I have been staying here for the past few days. With that being said Hala Ayoob has become a great friend over the course of our trip. Hala works in the M Club and from the start she has always greeted us with a smile, a laugh, and a helpful hand. She is like this with all of her customers and through her greetings we can all see how hard she works. We will forever be grateful to Hala and will always remember our new friend. We love you Hala all the way from Jersey!

Booking one thing, getting something else, and additional charges
Cons:

#1 - Booked through booking 2 full beds. Got at checkin 1 king bed. Very Bad.
#2 - There was no parking price at booking. Later they sent $36 per night though booking message. At checkout, they charged $42. Very Bad.

Pros:

Great location! Close to the mall. Stayed on the 15th floor. Awesome view. Room was clean. M lounge had plenty of food and drinks. Hala Ayoob was very nice and friendly. She took good care of us at the M club! Will be back soon!

I’m back!
Pros:

I was here 3 years ago during a hard time. I swore to myself I would come back. Here I am! The place is full of gems! Your staff is incredibly kind. They seem to enjoy what they stand for. My absolute favorites will be Tony and Delia . Amazing people.

The rooms need an upgrade, the shower had no pressure, breakfast was very poor quality and very restrictive. Hotel staff were ok, except for at the restaurant where they were very nice
