Perfect for my short stay in San Francisco
Pros:

Friendly staff and loved the overall all look and feel of the property.
Shares the same street as the cable cars which makes it easy to get down to the wharf.

Cons:

Bathroom itself was a bit small, no real spot to lay your bag down

Cons:

They charged me $100 each room for incidentals. I have a late checked out and was quoted $135 for each room. Instead of charging me the remaining $35, they charged me $525.55 for each room when i already paid it in advanced!

El personal de recepción fue muy amable, profesional y atento. Sin embargo, la atención del personal encargado del equipaje y del valet parking fue muy deficiente. Su trato hacia los huéspedes fue poco amable, desorganizado y muy por debajo del nivel de servicio que uno espera de un hotel de esta categoría.

Además, tuve un inconveniente con la reserva que realicé a través de Booking. Se presentó un error en el proceso de cobro y mi estancia fue cobrada dos veces. Hasta el momento sigo esperando el reembolso del depósito y la devolución del cargo adicional que me realizaron. Espero que esta situación se resuelva lo antes posible, ya que afecta considerablemente la experiencia como huésped.

Perfect San Francisco base to explore the city from. Great value for the amount of cost of room 
Pros:

Great location in union square. Amazing old building and refurbished rooms. Wonderful views from 21 st floor bar and terrific happy hour in lobby bar/ the Post Room. Very helpful staff. Good in room coffee.

Pretty hotel, good location, good for the price
Pros:

The hotel is really pretty - an old, grand building but with a modern touch. The room was large, bed comfortable and an amazing view. The restaurant/ reception area was very inviting and well decorated. Breakfast was really good and a good price, a few options to choose from.
Location is really good - a lot of shops and restaurants around, tram access up and down the hill, an Uber away from Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf area.

Cons:

Dinner was a little disappointing, we tried the steak and it was very chewy and tasteless and the chicken was underwhelming too. However, my partner had the burger and it was really good.
A lot of homeless people in the area can be quite unsettling especially at night.
Walls are very thin, we could hear people's conversations in the next rooms. A woman next door screaming at the staff at 7am because she didn't have any hot water.

A perfect choice for a gracious and comfortable stay in a lovely, nicely restored, old-San Francisco hotel.
Pros:

Comfortable bed, spacious room, close to Union Square but quiet, beautiful public spaces and lobby bar, friendly and professional service.

Very Good value- solid 4 star experience.
Pros:

For downtown, a great location. The restaurant was a nice vibe for late afternoon cocktail/ snack. We had fun at the Starlite! Great ambience and music! Easy to grab Ubers anywhere and lots of cute cafes and restaurants nearby.

Cons:

Walls were thin- I could hear people coughing and talking. Bathroom set up was lacking a bit.
