Worst internet
Pros:

Wifi internet is depressing. Every 10-20 minutes it kicks you out. I was doing some work and it got me disconnected frequently.

First time to Thailand, three nights in Bangkok to start… I am the type of person to create a spreadsheet, review and compare every hotel then cross check against trip advisor and google review, compare prices across all platforms… you get the idea… I could not fault the Shangri-La Bangkok.. it started with the airport pick up in a Mercedes, to being whisked straight to our room instead of check-in at the front counter.. stayed in a Shangri-la wing horizon executive river view suite on the top level 25.. had drinks and canapés in the horizon club each evening which was nice..

Breakfast can be had on the ground level cafe with a large array of options or Horizon club which was a bit meh with the breakfast options..

Great place to stay for your first time in Bangkok..

Book direct on their website as they have some good deals and use their app..

Pros:

This is a great place to stay right on the river. Very comfortable and close to everything Bangkok has to offer. Pro tip- great coconut smoothie & coffee truck behind the hotel.

Cons:

A little dated, but it’s still exceptional.

Pros:

Having stayed at the King Power Pullman, Pullman G and Mariott and now Shangri La, I have never come across staff so unfriendly especially those that serve at breakfast.

Cons:

Really classy property but the people don’t necessarily cut it for me.

Overall the stay was nice & comfortable
Pros:

The hotel is very maintained and the location is very nice with great views of Chao Phraya River.
The hotel offers free shuttle service to/from IconSiam. The breakfast was also nice with Halal options.

Cons:

Put proper signage inside the hotel to go from one building to the next one for taking metro

Always a good stay...
Pros:

Tried the krungthep wing for the 1st time. Overall very good, a tad out dated but having a outside river balcony was nice in the evenings. Room service was excellent and super fast. The laundry cost was on another planet, 2 boxers 2 horts 2 t shirts $70AU. You do get one use free of the mini bar. But i still cant understand the price they charge for a Beer Chang 150 Baht, they are 33 Baht at the shop across the road. Thats a 350% mark up. Nothing wrong with making money but come on....
