Wingate by Wyndham Galveston Beachfront at the Seawall

The floors were sticky and left black flecks on my feet. I was charged a $15 parking fee non-refundable and a $100 incidental fee that was supposed to be refunded and after 11 days after check our, still has not been refunded

It lacked cleanliness, we only received sheets for our bedding no actual topper to keep warm while you sleep, there was no working telephone in the room, we weren’t given a WiFi password, no coffee maker was in the room. Pretty much everything advertised was not there. Also we got charged for parking on top of already paying for our hotel room, and there wasn’t anything mentioned about a parking fee in their brochures online when we booked with them. So the price I was quoted and was supposed to pay was $15 dollars higher than the quoted price. Stuff in the room was already tore up, and when I tried to to call the office 6 times mind you before I had to go in there , because nobody would answer the office line, plus I tried emailing about something and I still haven’t gotten a response in regards to what I was emailing about with pictures for proof!

Needs maintained & updated. Not sure that they don't do monthly rentals.

We booked 2 rooms - none of the rooms had shampoo, conditioner, soap, no towels, nor the bed covers. We requested to check in early and the rooms were not ready.

Everything was empty the shampoo body wash the hand soap

Do NOT stay at this hotel if you expect a clean room.
My family and I went to Galveston for one night with our child, and we were shocked by how dirty the room was. The beds had visible stains, the floor was covered in sand, there was what appeared to be a poop stain on the inside of the main room door, and there was mold all around the walls. This hotel advertises itself as clean, but that was not our experience at all.
The pool was also green and did not look clean or inviting.
I went to the front desk to complain about the condition of our room, and the employee said they would send housekeeping. We went for a walk on the beach, and when we came back, they hadn't cleaned anything. They simply left clean sheets and pillowcases on top of the beds for me to change myself. The room was still dirty, the stain on the inside of the door was still there, and none of the other issues had been addressed. That is completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, they charge extra fees that aren't clearly disclosed. Be prepared to pay a $100 security deposit at check-in that they say will be refunded in 5–7 days, plus $15 per day for parking.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families with children. Don't be fooled by the photos—they do not reflect the actual condition of the property. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else.

15 dollar parking every 24 hrs and your also paying for a room I feel like that should be combined in your stay all the soaps in the bath are empty very few things in the breakfast pool water is green

The whole stay from the time I got there on Mon until I checked out early on Friday morning was absolutely horrible. The staff were very rude had to pay 15 per day there up front for parking which Ive never had to do. Got to the room it was very nasty and looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. There were no towels wash cloths etc and the excuse was we are out due to the weekend being busy ill bring you some later which never happened had to go back three hours later and ask for towels again which I got only two of and had a party of three. There is no housekeeping here that cleans your room so on the third day there I asked for new bed linens and was told I could have sheets only but not a clean blanket The pool was solid green and unhealthy looking which the whole week there i never seen not one person get in. The cops were at the hotel the whole week looking for people or for getting called in on over people at the hotel. I was also charged 100 dollars extra for who knows what because the staff could not tell me and stated I would get refunded back the morning I checked out which still has not happened. I asked the night I got there and seen the room after paying could I be refunded and have my money back immediately and go elsewhere I was told it would take 7 to 15 business days so had no option but to stay there. This whole stay was absolutely HORRIBLE ,DISGUSTING, MISERABLE and I have called the main corporate office to report all this. I will never go back to this facility or any others affiliated with this company and will make sure I let everyone know to never waste there time or money on a place that's rude and disgusting as this place that I wasted for my vacation.
