Great location, clean but rude staff
Pros:

The location was fantastic! Easy walk to shopping and restaurants

Cons:

The staff was rude and inattentive. Our AC and toilet broke and was reported to the reception. Very condescending

Disappointing to leave on a sour note
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent

Cons:

The on site car parking is ridiculously tight to drive a vehicle in and very difficult to get out. I drive a Tuscon and the tailgate hits the ceiling when you open the boot. And exiting the car park i dented my rear side and scraped the back door as its way too tight to drive through. Other guests share the same thoughts online especially if you drive an SUV. When you report it to the hotel there response is to apologise and tell you of the signs warning of the tight spaces! The signs are the disclaimer

Lovely staff
Pros:

I normally stay at the Doubletree when I am in Leeds ( however our company no longer allow it ) so not my choice
Only staying overnight and working both days so did not get to use the swimming pool or leisure facilities which looked fab
Checked in quite late so thankfully did not need to spend much time in the roasting hot room on the hottest day of the year
No fridge which I was aware of but on days like this why even leave bottles of water ( also warm ) . My toilet didn’t flush either and had to keep going for about 5 mins before any water came out at all
There were a few people complaining about air conditioning. It was not cool at all
Breakfast was really impressive and lots of choice . Nice bread and bagels to choose from as well as all the buffet items And takeaway bags and cups which really helped as my colleague wanted to Take coffee with him . The reception , bar and seating areas are lovely and the staff are good but please get some fridges in the rooms and the air conditioning fixed as I believe we are in for hot summers ahead

Really nice hotel. Breakfast lovely. Rooms smart and comfortable.

Interior and rooms nice. Upmarket. Great value for money.

Cons:

Smell of damp downstairs. Bathrooms smelt damp also.

Great food.
Pros:

A great stay at this hotel, the food was excellent, Steaks can be hit and miss in any establishment but the Sirloin was cooked to perfection. A wonderful hotel with great staff, a shout out to Rosana who was knowledgeable on the wine selection and menu. Parking was easy and you will never get wet parking up and walking to reception as they are in the same building. Excellent stay. I will be back.

Business trip
Pros:

Riaaz was a genuine breath of fresh air after a long work day. He checked me in quickly, with a calm, personable manner that immediately made the evening feel easier. I was genuinely impressed he pronounced my name ( Nonhlanhla) perfectly a small detail that made a big difference.
