A very good alternative close to the Peñol

If I return to el Peñol with friends I will definitely stay there again.
Pros:

Pool, bar area, view of both the reservoir and the monolith, parking, cleanliness, and the staff gave us such quality attention I thought they owned the place. Could not ask for a better team, from reception to the cleaning and kitchen staff. The picture of the water was from my room's balcony. Great place to sit in the late afternoon.

Cons:

Brighter lights (the room was romantically dark even with the curtains open (tinted windows***) and a place to put our clothes. We stayed for a week and had to live out of our suitcases on the floor. The room was large enough for a nice-sized dresser (could put the TV on top), which would have complemented the room nicely. Staff gave us a shelf to put some things on, which helped. Loved the room, but a queen-sized bed instead of a king would have been better (at least in our room). Getting in and out of bed from the sides was a tight fit. Also, didn't care for the jacuzzi. Very shallow, I am 187 tall and the water barely covered my waist. Wife liked the jacuzzi though, but she's only 154cm tall.

Not the best place
Pros:

Great location, view and green areas

Cons:

The restaurant food, breakfast not the bedt, raw chorizo, not good burritos, uncooked chicken wings. At night our neighbours a venezuelan gay couple were playing extremelly loud music and chatting/screaming and no one did nothing until 1:30 am that i asked the guard to talk to them, after 5 min they were back to screaming and being loud and no one did anything.

Pros:

Camas grandes, agua caliente, buenas almohadas, dos cobijas, son cosas que en algunos hoteles no es fijo, incluso tenía directo tv, la piscina es hasta tarde.

Cons:

Solo hay un Yacuzi para todos los huéspedes, puedes usarlo una hora, las piscina mide 1.20 mt si eres alto ni arrodillado te llega al pecho, es más bien una piscina de niños, tiene pocas asoleado ras para la cantidad de huéspedes que albergan, el desayuno para lo que pagas es poco y no tn buen calidad, los que atienden tiene como 10 cargos y es difícil encontrar quien te sirva un trago porque si no está preparando el Yacuzi esta en la recepción y no está pendientes de las personas que esta consumiendo. Posdata no pidan la decoración de cumpleaños no vale las 8 bombas qué te ponen sin torta y el letrero de fique.

Location was superb, and great pool and entertainment area.

Cons:

Room was not insulated, so we could hear everything from outside, and there was not a blackout in our room.
