Close to most sights. Clean property, very good breakfast. Staff were exceptional.

Location & extra details like welcoming surprise for our anniversary, daily sweet treats, etc. Very friendly & helpful staff. Comfortable & sunlit room on the 6th floor.

The hotel is well situated and the room was fairly large. For this it is rated 5 stars
But during our stay we encountered several issues:
(1) The room had sunshine most of the day (a plus) so it can get very warm. Stayed for three nights but the cooling did not work (the hotel said it was under repair but other rooms had air conditioning). Hotel’s solution was to bring a floor fan since windows cannot be opened. The front desk desk could not tell us when the repair can be completed. After complaints from Viking representative and our repeated inquiries, it was finally fixed late next afternoon. Coordination between front desk and maintenance? Also, why did the front desk assigned us the room despite the lack of cooling?
(2) The room came with a bathtub and a separate shower (hotel said not all rooms have shower). The separate shower does not have shower door or curtain so the water slashed out and flowed down to the rest of bathroom. The solution the second day was giving us more towels to mop the water? Finally on the third day, a PVC pipe with plastic sheet was installed. Knowing the deficiency, why did the hotel did not pro-actively installed this?
(3) The bathroom comes with double basins (a plus) but both stoppers did not close. Wasting a lot of water. The repair took 2 visits from the maintenance crew. Took 2 visits because the crew insisted both were repaired but when we showed that on of the drain plug was still leaking water. Why did the repair did check that the leak was fully repaired?
Reported all these to front desk but their actions did not matched the results expected of a top 5 star hotel. The night before our departure the front desk disputed our earlier review (deleted). While the manager accessed the issues above, he felt the hotel was sufficiently apologetic and gave us half bottle of champagne.

The morning of our departure the general manger came to discuss and apologize for the troubles. She was very receptive. With the attention after several complaints and ultimate successful repairs, we raised the rating to 4 stars.

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel en raison de sa localisation, proche du théâtre Edouard VII et de l'Olympia.
Le personnel est très sympathique et dispense de petits conseils utiles pour faciliter notre séjour.
Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner et avons pu savourer de fruits frais de toutes sortes ainsi qu'une offre complète sucrée/ salée.

This was my second time staying at Castille.
The rooms are small, but still they manage to sqeeze in everything you need. You have a small desk, wardrobe with safe and separate bathroom/toilet.
Because of the great location I can manage to live with the small space. I simply love this area. Nearby so many great restaurants, shops, Louvre +++
The staff is very friendly, check in very effective. There is a bar and restaurant, even a small gym.
Rooms are clean. Nice bedlinen and towels. Bathrobes.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Lage war sehr gut, da man viele sehr gute Geschäfte direkt in der Nachbarschaft hat.
Wir haben von dort aus viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erkunden können. Tolle Cafés und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Our arrival and check-in was warm and welcoming and throughout our stay the staff (bar one) were friendly and greeted us with a smile and a friendly “Bonjour!”. The room was comfortable and well serviced with an excellent hair dryer and plenty of power outlets. Breakfast was good with an extensive selection of fresh fruit and a good selection of warm and cold options. The bar area is lovely and the pianist playing adds a delightful ambiance. The lobby area is small but comfortable and the complimentary water provided was welcome after a day sightseeing. Note that the champagne that is also situated in this area is not complimentary. You will receive a sharp telling off from that one rude member of staff should you dare to think so! (Although this was not applied equitably as some guests seemed to be permitted to help themselves). A polite notice for clarification would avoid embarrassment to guests.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in a very well located hotel in this beautiful city.
