Schön & gemütlich, teilweise Renovation erforderlich
Pros:

- sehr sauberes grosses Zimmer mit gemütlichen Betten
- ruhig
- grosses Bad inkl. genügenden Handtüchern und Bademantel. Pooltücher können gratis an der Rezeption bezogen werden.
- fantastisches zuvorkommendes Hotelpersonal
- Frühstück reichhaltig und frisch, Preis/Leistung (CHF 26/Person) absolut okay!
- Lage direkt an der Promenade, ca. 10min zu Fuss zum Bahnhof

Cons:

- Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen, insb. das Bad (Badewannen-Dusche mit grossem Absatz), Schlafzimmer aber schön renoviert! Grosse klassische Zimmerschlüssel, die aber jederzeit an der Rezeption abgegeben werden können (24/7!)
- Pool ist für die Grösse des Hotels sehr klein, am Abend aber kaum Betrieb.
- Keine richtige Hotel-Bar
- Die Klimaanlage kühlt gut, ist jedoch sehr laut.

We enjoyed out stay very much and were sorry to leave such a beautiful hotel.
Pros:

We had a beautiful view of the lake with a balcony and plenty of room for two people to sit and enjoy the view. It is on the lake and just steps away from the quay.

Cons:

We were there during the European heat wave, the room was wonderfully air conditioned but the common areas were to. We had drinks at the outdoor seating but never had breakfast or dinner there because of the heat.

4 days in Montreux
Pros:

Brilliant and serene lakeside location. The view and patio was well worth paying for. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Pool and lake swimming was nice. Breakfast was first rate.. Room was comfortable and spacious. Lakeside promenade with Chillon Castle one way and Freddie Mercury statue the other. Relaxed and serene.
The cog wheel train to Rochers de Naye provides fantastic views

Cons:

Noisy aircon, needed a more low profile pillow, no aircon in reception and dining rooms made them uncomfortable.

A very grand hotel on the shores of Lake Geneva that lives up to its promising photos
Pros:

This was a really impressive, grand, early 20th-century style hotel very close to the shores of Lake Geneva, with large and splendid public rooms, an outdoor pool, gardens and, in our case, a large and comfortable bedroom with air conditioning and sweeping views of the lake.

Cons:

We visited during a June heat wave, and the public areas (reception, breakfast room) were quite warm because they weren't air conditioned. However, our bedroom was, which we very much appreciated.
The staff apologised for the outdoor pool being cold. It was quite cool (the lake was warmer, for swimming - public lake swimming areas are very near this hotel), but good for dipping into, to cool down, and the garden lounge chairs were a good place to sit out in the shade.
