La Valencia Hotel

This review is for the concierge service we received from Shraddha. As soon as we walked in the hotel on the first day (our room wasn't ready), she got us some waters and told us all about the hotel, surrounding area, etc. She also gave us a map and suggested some things we may want to do. The following two days, she kept up with us and managed our dinner reservations with quickness and ease. She really made a difference in our stay.

Our stay at La Valencia was exceptional, beyond 5 stars. The service was amazing - everyone who took care of us were so kind and helpful and personable. We were celebrating our anniversary since got married at La Valencia in May 2025 and had an absolutely amazing time! Bobby Fader and Dani Hendricks from the Catering and Special Events teams went above and beyond to take care of us and made our wedding phenomenal. During our recent stay last week, Bobby and Dani made some special touches to our stay. We also had a kind welcome from Mark and the concierge team. I cannot say enough good things about La Valencia and all the staff! Of course it’s a gorgeous hotel with beautiful views. But what makes it truly amazing are the people who work there. We’ll be back!

We just returned from another magical stay at La Valencia celebrating our second anniversary, which was even more meaningful since we were married here in 2024. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm and genuine, exceeding our expectations in every way.
A special thank you to Bobby for going above and beyond to make our anniversary feel truly celebrated, and to Mike for the exceptional service at the pool. It’s the people at La V who make it so unforgettable.

We also love how wonderfully dog-friendly the hotel is — our pup felt just as welcomed and at home as we did!

We booked a room here for our parents to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary and were incredibly impressed. Shraddha, concierge, helped us make the experience truly unforgettable. From the welcome champagne to the beautiful room decor, to personalized dessert, our parents are still taking about their experience. The room itself was absolutely gorgeous- ocean front with an oversized balcony. It’s Within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shopping. Highly highly recommend La Valencia.

We just got back from four nights at La Valencia and we’re already planning when we can return. This was hands down our favorite West Coast vacation spot.
The moment we walked in, we genuinely felt like we were walking into someone’s home. Not a hotel. A home. The kind where you’re warmly welcomed, looked after, and treated like you belong. That feeling never left us the entire stay.
The property itself is everything you’ve heard. Beautiful, classic, comfortable, with perfect ocean views and food that genuinely delivered. The pool is iconic for a reason. The Mediterranean Room and the bar were both highlights. But what really separates La Valencia from every other beautiful hotel out there is the staff. Every single person on the team goes above and beyond to make you feel at home.
And then there’s Shraddha (Concierge). Where do we even begin.
Shraddha was by far one of the top highlights of our entire trip. She took the time to walk us through the entire property, explaining the 100 years of history behind the Pink Lady — the food, the spa, the pool, the gardens, the stories. She treated us like she’d known us for years. Warm, fun, lively, and so genuinely excited about the property that we left her tour more excited than when we started. That’s a rare kind of hospitality.
We will absolutely be back to La Valencia. In fact, we can already picture future trips with business partners, friends, and family at this property. It’s that kind of place — the kind you want to share with everyone you love.

This is the spot! Spent our wedding night with panoramic views of the La Jolla coastline. This hotel strikes the right balance of history, elegance, comfort, and care. Their staff are superb. If you enjoy staying at a nice hotel, you've found it.

We had a wonderful stay. The city of La Jolla was easy to bring young children to, and San Diego was very close for a quick trip to museums and the zoo. The hotel was clean, extremely accommodating, and family friendly. While quieter, it does have a pool and kid friendly food options. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and the ocean view. We hope to come back to the West coast and if we do, we hope to stay at La Valencia again!

Great location and views from common areas. Room was quiet.

I am obsessed with this hotel. It’s perfect. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here 15 years ago, and since then we have had the privilege to stay several times, together or with friends. The location is perfect, the hotel is beautiful, the food is great. Most recently, I went with two of my dearest friends for a girls trip. We had the best time by the pool and relaxing. Couldn’t recommend more.

Pros: This hotel is so beautiful and the location is perfect for exploring. The pool is nice and has very comfortable loungers. Restaurant experience was also very good quality.

Cons: partially my mistake for not booking a better room, I think. But a classic king- oof. So much street noise, and then woke up to 5am house music coming from somewhere (club, room above?), and the walls are paper thin.

Overall I like this hotel but not for sleeping.

I found this beautiful hotel through their Instagram! Their Instagram page captures this special place so well but it is even more beautiful in person! Their hospitality is incredible and it was such a wonderful experience!!! So beautiful!

Beautiful hotel with fabulous views. Loved being so close to the ocean and shopping at the same time. Warm welcome from the staff at every encounter, especially the concierge Mark.
Food was really delicious and the pool was very relaxing. We will be back!

We loved the use of the e-bikes and of course the access to the water front.

Shraddha with the Concierge was the best. She was very professional, sweet and gave us the best recommendations for me and my friends to enjoy our stay. She also took our pictures and showed us around the lobby and amenities at La Valencia. We were greeted with champagne and cookies as we came in. Shraddha was such a great asset to the hotel and gave us such an amazing experience.
