We hebben kunnen omboeken vanwege zeer warme en bedompte kleine kamer dat was erg fijn
De 1e kamer was in de kelder zonder ramen en zonder ventilatie
Sauberkeit Toilette
Frühstück früher
It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
I stayed just one night and overall was good.
Breakfast was excellent
Staff were very helpful and friendly
Really enjoyed our stayour
Would have been nice if our rooms had been close my friend couldnt find my room.
Othetwise perfect
The housekeeping had done a excellent job and polite, helpful
The staff at the check in was slightly rude , we requested him to give the room atleast by 1.30 to 2 pm , as we were driving all night stuck in the thunderstorm, wanted to rest for an hour , but he rudely rejected , however im rating them excellent
Room was comfortable
We could not find a place to park and have just received a letter attempting to fine us £100 for entering the car park for 20 minutes as we tried to back out of a small convoluted underground car park in which there were no free spaces.
the breakfast was the worst we have ever experienced, with an aggressive staff member, poor quality of food (apart from the eggs!) all of which was cleared very quickly immediately the clock struck 9.30.
The beds were comfortable
I would say well nothing which i would like yo mention that I did not like
Location
Bathroom needs updating, shower hose leaked.
Window doesn’t fit.
Lifts look like they never get cleaned.
Bar area very basic.
There were spider webs all over the room
The staff is pathetic and ridiculous. They are the most mannerless professionals i have seen. Extremely rude, racist, and verbally abusing and poking.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. My mom found a tooth in the scrambled eggs she had for breakfast. A TOOTH!!!
The answer was “we’re sorry we are going to offer you the breakfast for the remaining days” but we already had it included. So they said that they were going to ask the manager how to solve it… but nothing happened. Nothing!!
At the check out they just said “you can leave your keys here”. And that’s all.
Staff were friendly
The room had a green fire exit sign in by the door that illuminated the room with a green glow all night, card machines went down and there was no other way to pay for food or drinks.
E' abbastanza vicina al centro per arrivarci cone 30 minuti a piedi. Non ho altri punti positivi da segnalare.
Le stanze basse e roventi, il bagno poco pulito e poco ordinato
The hotel itself is in a beautiful location and is close enough to town that transport links are plenty. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and check in was a nice experience. The room was huge compared to most hotels in a Central location and the little amenities tray was well stocked. But best of all, the price was only £85 for 1 night! Which, in Edinburgh, especially now AND so close to festival season, was an absolute bargain!
I'll preface this to say that these things did not affect our enjoyment of the stay! These things are just observations for those who care about such things.
Basically you pay for what you get :) the hotel is a bit dated and, as such, you can see a few areas where the ceiling is slightly discoloured or there are leaks or skirting boards that need updating.
The beds are not the comfiest (although I imagine if you are a firm mattress person you won't be bothered at all!) In the room we were in, the fire exit light was so bright that the room was never truly dark.
Our room didn't have a window but this wasnt surprising for us - the hotel was very clear on their profile that this was the case. Honestly? We were extremely happy with this as it meant our room was cool in comparison to the exhausting heat outside (heatwave).
