The location was pretty convenient, but I probably wouldn’t return. The hotel is closer to Tenderloin than Union Square and we didn’t care for the surrounding area.
The room itself didn’t hold up to the expectation the website set. When we arrived, the bathroom was dirty and we let the front desk know as we were heading out to dinner. Upon our return, the bathroom was still not clean and we had to request further cleaning. After that, we discovered the sheets were also sufficiently stained. Housekeeping opted to put a sheet over the stained comforter instead of changing the bedding completely.

La cama de las 2 camas que tiene la habitacion una de ellas esta ya deforme situacion que a la vista se ve no entiendo por que no lo han cambiado, eso arruino totalmente la experiencia y de ser un hotel excepcional pasa a ser malo.

La moquette nel corridoio non dava un buon odore , nella camera il pavimento era per metà con moquette e metà pavimento, diciamo che in linea di massima è andato tutto bene però le foto della camera no sono proprio uguali alla camera (n. 531).
The Clift Royal Sonesta is a great hotel with excellent customer service. Our room was clean and comfortable. For us, the Sonesta's location near Union Square was ideal. We didn't rent a car, so we walked everywhere, including two Giants baseball games, the Ferry Building, Chinatown, and North Beach. The Sonesta's bar is located in the famous Redwood Room, which is historic and beautiful. Overall, I highly recommend the Clift Royal Sonesta.

1. The onsite gym was the perfect size and equipment level.
2. The onsite evening bar "Bedroom Bar"
3. The onsite restaurant (Fredrick's), the staff here were amazing and the food was great too.
4. Room size and room facilities.
1. The reception staff were rude, having an issue and bringing it too them was very quickly closed down, not addressed as they moved onto the next customer. Booking.com also struggled to get a response from them.
2. It doesn't say anywhere on the website that the bed and breakfast has a 72 dollar limit per room. With a family of 5, 18% automatic tip and 10% food tax. this doesn't cover breakfast unless you are on your own in the room.
3. Having the issue with the breakfast for the first 2 days, spending another 150 dollars around 10:30-11:00, we weren't able to do the activities that we had planned.

El hotel no da desayuno. Hay que ir a una cafetería externa en la planta baja, caro, mal y con colas ridículas. Acabé yendo a desayunar a otros hoteles cercanos.
