Elegant
Staff were excellent
Warm and friendly
Nothing
Excellent hotel. The room was large and cozy. The spa and swimming book were a bonus. The location is wonderful for walking around Seattle. and great restaurants near by.
Beautiful lobby and fantastic staff
Cost of parking was silly
Great room set up for family of 4. Location was great and loved the lobby bar.
Staff were helpful but not exceptional
What a wonderful hotel stay . . . unless you're mobility challenged.
Which is not surprising, given the fact that this magnificent, beautiful hotel was built in 1924. They have made recent ADA-compliant adaptations, but there are stairs EVERYWHERE. I was thankful for the lifts from the mezzanine to the Spanish Ballroom and in the Garden Room. At one point we needed to meet our excursion bus at the back door of the hotel, but there are three steps and no ramp at that door. We had to find a side door or use the front door on the opposite site of the hotel and then make our way around the hotel to the bus.
I requested one of the rooms with a step-in shower, since I can't manage bathtubs. Once we were able to get into our room, our keys didn't work so my husband went back to the front desk for another set. (Looooooooong walk.) No go. Only this time, the man already in the room came to the door wondering why strangers were trying to get into his room. Back down to reception, where (manager?) Liew made it his personal mission to take care of us. He gave us keys to a different room, and he and a colleague brought our bags to the room to make sure we could get in and that everything was just right. Which it was. We felt very cared for. We aren't VIPs, but we were treated as if we were. Bless you Liew.
The room was luxuriously appointed, spotless and welcoming. We were delighted to discover a Nespresso machine in the room. It would have been nice for better signage to make people aware that everything ELSE in the room, snacks and even a bottle of water, was extremely pricey. At checkout, we discovered my husband's 2 little boxes of cashews were $17.53.
We were at this hotel for a weekend conference, and found the food excellent. So was our bed--exceptionally comfortable.
It was a good stay. Challenging, but good.
From the warm welcome at check in from Lieu and the team we had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Olympia hotel. Lieu went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and provided a faultless, friendly and professional service. The hotel is beautifully furnished to a high standard from the bar and restaurant area through to the beautiful bedrooms. All staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance to all attractions, the harbour, market, restaurants and shops etc.
Don’t miss a visit to the hotels hidden speakeasy!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the fairmont in Seattle. A special thanks to Lielue for his warm hospitality and going above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable stay!
Hotel has a nice location, close to Pike Place, Westgate center to catch the monorail, and one block from the metro line that will get you to the airport in about 45 minutes. For a five star hotel there were just a few things off about this place. The bathroom only had a tub/shower combo, no separate toilet area, but the bed was comfortable. The lobby bar had more prostitutes working there than I’ve ever seen, and the service at the breakfast restaurant was poor with slow service and two out of two orders incorrect.
