Hyatt Regency Westlake

Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, nice showers, helpful staff

I stayed here for two nights for a work meeting. The location is only 15min from our site in Camarillo. I've stayed most places in and around Camarillo and for approximately the same price the Hyatt Westlake is much nicer. The location is also close to a small plaza with shops, restaurants, coffee and a whole foods. All these things are important to me as I like to be able to walk to get coffee or purchase my own breakfast items (yogurt, etc.) The hotel itself is gorgeous well-laid out and spacious without having to walk too far. Parking is free and plentiful. The AC is extremely quiet and I was able to sleep with it on. (Many hotels it turns on/off and wakes me.)

I picked this for the location as the event was at two venues and this was closest. The bed was very comfortable, the bedding very nice. The shower head? Awesome!! They roomed us in a quiet area as requested, room was ready on early arrival, check in was very amiable. While everything is lovely and restful and with amenities. I would suggest they could do some updating in the rooms and need to analyze their room maintenance and cleaning. One of the night tables with usb and power sockets was totally NOT working. The clock had a thin wire (antenna) and a male connection for power but no power connection just hanging from it. No clock, no charging - had to charge on the other side of the room. And somehow, it's beyond me, housekeeping never noticed or had it repaired. And with the drive for customers to do all the work, their requirement to use my phone to connect to the hotel and services really is upsetting since they are using apps to do their work and what the guests get is a bunch of Temu ads and other bs. No printed materials at all in the room. Ordering room service was a nightmare as there are no descriptions of what you are ordering and there is no confirmation of the order, one can only hope that the app sent it to the hotel who sent it to the kitchen. And now I have to go block a bunch of ads. This is not a perk for the guests it is a way for the hotel to eliminate jobs, basically selling my information to these apps, and the personal touch. They want you to check in and check out and use the services at the hotel without ever getting a human being involved or developing any comradery as guests should be shown. I think weddings are their money maker. I won't say wave off, I'll just say temper expectations.

Had a great weekend stay here while in town for a wedding. Check-in was a breeze with friendly service, the room was very spacious and well appointed. Having the time on the bathroom mirror is a great feature. I needed to press my suit and the front desk lent me a steamer to use, which was a lifesaver. Overall I had a great stay and would recommend, and if I’m in the area again I would choose this hotel for my stay

Hotel is clean but quite dated. Many dogs in the hotel. Watch out for the "complimentary" bottles of water in your room. You need to be of the highest 2 categories of the Hyatt Loyalty program in order not be charged for the water - $3.50/bottle.

My family and I recently enjoyed a wonderful 2 night get away at the Hyatt Regency Westlake and it exceeded our expectations in everyway. At check-in, Alex at the front desk greeted us with genuine warmth and efficiency, making us feel instantly welcome. Evenings at the bar along with breakfast meals were equally delightful thanks to bartender Dave. Friendly conversation and impeccable service turned simple visits into highlights of our trip. One last shout out to bellman Parker who was always there to help and at the ready when needed. The rooms are nice and spacious. The restaurant serves really good breakfast and the servers are friendly. Housekeeping at this hotel needs a serious boost, though. The first morning here I came out of my room and ran into a maid who says,”do you need housekeeping or not really?” I said I just need new towels. She just shrugged. Later I came back and she had not entered the room to leave towels. Twice while walking the hallways I saw the housekeeping carts in the hallways with the piles of clean sheets and towels. On top of the clean laundry were heaps of dirty sheets and towels from rooms being cleaned. Disgusting. That makes me not want to return to any Hyatt.

The hotel is pretty and kept very clean.

Fire alarm went off in our room (first night), they couldn't fix it so they pulled it off the wall, NO fire alarm in our room the entire stay. (Black) Mold on ceiling. Asked for another room, None available. NO follow up from staff the balance of our stay!

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. The room was comfortable and spacious. The property is very well kept. Breakfast was Delicious. I had the French Toast.

Worst experience I had. The room was next to an loading an unloading zone and they were making noises all through the night. Ran out of hot water while taking a shower in the afternoon. Terrible lounge and drink bar... Carpets were a trip hazard.. No kettles in the rooms and had to go get water downstairs from a water dispenser. no cups in the room... very disappointing. will never stay here.

The room was spacious and extremely clean! I found all team members to be friendly and helpful. Food and beverage options were gobetter than average. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall nice hotel with ok selection of breakfasts. The buffet only on weekends was my fave.
One thing about America is that there afe hidden costs everywhere and the hotel isn't shy of this in anyway.
cleanliness.. hmm the maids only make your bed not change your sheets eveyday .. or even a week. You have to tell them too.
I'm not going to be picky because honestly its fairly well maintained in a quiet area but within walking distance from a few supermarkets, shops including food. Balcony is a little landing but still outside space was good to stand in. Delivery of Cali.. plus food and ubers easy to locate. 100$ taken from my account and not refunded with no update or recognition of our stay. Extra $25 taken with NO exclamation. Just swiped from my card which was debit.
Hector in the harvest resturant was the BEST server and so calm and helpful. Reception staff great too. Friendly alert at all times.
We felt cared for. Pool area decent size with shallow safe jacuzzi kids can give in. I'd definitely pick here again if budget wasn't an issue. Loved every moment of staying here. Things could be better (why was landing not hoovered EVERYDAY) cocroach put us off a bit. But once cleaned reassured. It gave real hyatt vibes from staff and food, but not hyatt astetics. Could be a california style thing but a bit of modernisation should give it the extra push to match its staff sharpness. They were very on point and beautiful. Thankyou Hyatt Regency Westlake

Very nice hotel. Bathrooms outdated but clean. Staff in bar and dining room very good. Easy check in and out. Pool and hot tub were nice. Not a lot of seating around pool

Great staff in the breakfast restaurant and at the bar. Very helpful with allergies.
