Very very below average. Disappointing for so much money: not recommended

The breakfast was good

Cons:

The staff was not good and the property is very old and not clean enough.
The hotel was very old fashioned and small.

Old Hotel, only placement matters. Too expensive only for its name.
Pros:

That is downtown.

Cons:

The stay involved several frustrating issues:

* They tried to charge me twice, even though I had already booked and paid through Booking.com.
* No room was available for early check-in despite my request. This happens, so it wasn’t a major issue.
* They also overlooked my prepaid breakfast and initially tried to charge me for it again. Eventually, they provided vouchers for the existing café, but it wasn’t a traditional buffet, coffee wasn’t included, and the actual buffet area was behind closed doors. So what exactly did I pay for?
* They required a CAD 100 deposit for a one-night stay, despite already having my card details. I disliked this practice, especially because I wasn’t informed about it beforehand.
* The bathroom ceiling was peeling and coming apart.
* There was no handheld showerhead, only a fixed one, which was inconvenient, especially for women.

A couple of nights
Pros:

Great location to explore Toronto. Our room was large and clean. Comfortable bed.

Cómodo, bien ubicado
Pros:

La habitación era amplia y limpia, con cafetera, mini refrigerador y caja fuerte. Lo mejor de todo sin duda son la ubicación (a menos de 5 minutos del metro) y el staff, todo el personal muy amable.

Cons:

El desayuno no es tan variado y deben estar todos los huéspedes (de la misma habitación) juntos para ordenar, lo que no resulta tan práctico cuando cada uno quiere comer en distintos horarios.

Sink outside the bathroom!!
We were given breakfast cards upon arrival. We only used the first day, but were still billed for the entire day.
