Delta Hotels by Marriott Ottawa City Centre

Le forfait plus: la cuisine a manqué de nourriture donc on a reçu un billet pour le resto mais le resto était plein donc on a du manger ailleurs :( le staff du resto n’était pas très accueillant. Lits inconfortables (trop mous).

Room was the same as a cheap roadside motel, but with a premium price 350 a night for a room with old dirty carpets, paint peeling in the ceiling in the bathroom. Everything felt disgusting albeit it looked clean. Breakfast was even worse, everything was stale and tasteless. Worst stay in a long time.

I booked two rooms for a family trip for 5 adults and 1 child under 12, and paid an additional fee to include breakfast for all family members.

After checking out, I received the hotel invoice and noticed that the hotel had charged the full breakfast cost for all 5 adults. I contacted the hotel by phone, and after reviewing the reservation, the hotel acknowledged that the invoice had been incorrectly calculated and offered to refund the breakfast charges for 4 adults.

However, this is still inconsistent with the reservation terms that I booked and paid for through Booking.com. The Booking.com confirmation explicitly states for both rooms that “Breakfast is included in the final price,” while also clearly listing the registered occupancy:

Room 1: 3 adults
Room 2: 2 adults and 1 child

The hotel explained that its internal policy only includes breakfast for 2 adults per room, and that additional adults are subject to extra charges. However, this limitation was never disclosed anywhere in the Booking.com reservation confirmation. There is no indication that breakfast coverage is limited, partial, or subject to additional charges for registered guests.

Honestly, the breakfast fee for one additional adult is not a significant amount. The most disappointing part of this experience is that the hotel is shifting the responsibility back to the booking platform, while customers are left in a very weak position after relying on the confirmed reservation details and completing payment in good faith.

As customers, we booked and paid entirely based on the confirmed reservation terms provided through Booking.com. Any discrepancy, omission, or miscommunication between the hotel and the booking platform should not be transferred to the customer after the reservation has already been confirmed and paid according to the stated conditions.

The long wait at check-in, the small bathrooms, the uncomfortable beds and pillows and the lack of proficiency in hotel processes especially billing. The self parking fee is CAD $32 per day, a little pricey but there is always street parking and parking lots nearby that are much cheaper. The check-in location does not have signage for Delta which does cause confusion so we had to ask the staff there to confirm, the only signage you will see at reception will be Marriot Bonvoy.

There is no ventilating fan in the bathroom. The bedroom is very close to each other. I could hear what the people in the next room talked, their TV and music.

No real comfortable seating areas in lobby. Definitely not a place that encourages individuals. Much more conference oriented.

Personnel à l'accueil peu agréable.
Chambre petite , aurait besoin d'un rafraichissement , mal insonorisée, ventilation bruyante et salle de bain MINUSCULE.
