Pros:

Breakfast was something special. Staff were capable and helpful. The buffet was excellent and the service was second to none! I've had breakfast at many top rated hotels and the organization and set up of this breakfast was superb.

A great place to stay in Basel!
Pros:

Perfect location across the street from the tram. The staff was very professional, friendly and welcoming! They were extremely helpful with directions and using the tram (thank you for the tram passes!) The room was clean and had everything we needed. Enjoyed a glass of wine in the lobby after a long day sightseeing. Would highly recommend!

Cons:

The bed could have been more comfortable (too hard), but this could be a personal preference

Massives Check-in-Chaos und mangelhafte Backup-Strategie bei IT-Ausfällen
Die Organisation und das Krisenmanagement während eines Softwareausfalls waren eine absolute Katastrophe.
Zimmer 1:Bereits belegt – inklusive eines nackten Mannes im Bett, als ich eintrat. Ein absolutes No-Go.
Zimmer 2:Ebenfalls bereits an andere Gäste vergeben.
Erst nach knapp zwei Stunden Wartezeit und massivem Hin und Her habe ich schließlich eine freie Suite bekommen. Dass man am Ende eine Lösung gefunden hat, ist zwar gut, aber der Weg dorthin war inakzeptabel. Es ist extrem bedenklich, dass ein so großer, internationaler Hotelkonzern wie Marriott keine funktionierende Offline-Strategie oder klare Protokolle für den Fall hat, dass die Buchungssoftware streikt. So etwas darf einfach nicht passieren.
