Hotel under constructions.
No restaurant, no bar, only one elevator.
The staff especially Karen & Dion, and location.
Massive Cockroach crawling up my bed which was reported to the management, which took 45 minutes. I had to approach reception the next morning about this. They did offer to move are room. Armed Police raid in the room across our corridor didn’t make us feel very safe. No bar or restaurant as there is renovations going on which we were not aware off.
Great room. Brand new !!! Super friendly staff. Karen, the cleaning team and the person in charge of taking my car were amazing and very supportive. Thanks to all !!! I wish every hotel care about customers us them. Great job

Very big room
Renovation. Restaurant closed during our stay
The location is brilliant with plenty of street parking available
This is the second time we stayed here: last year we had a lovely experience. This year the hotel was being renovated which meant there was no opportunity for a lie in as construction started early on the floors below us. Our room seemed to have just been finished which looked rushed. For the first day, staff just let themselves into our room. Not sure if they thought it wasn’t occupied yet but they would randomly walk in with bits of furniture. We did tell them that there was no safe, they searched the whole room and couldn’t find one, but also never brought us one. The air con in the room was awful, it was incredibly loud. But we were lucky to have air con as while we were there plenty of rooms experiences outages.

No Breakfast, No Microwave, No Fridge, Not So Great TV, Detours
The facility was under construction & no one made me aware of this critical information.
Under construction & lobby & elevator had horrific smell.
They have not paid back my deposit of $350
This was my second stay at the Beacon. My first visit was in January 2021, and it was outstanding. At the end of that stay, the hotel had just begun renovations. We enjoyed eating and drinking on the property, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and welcoming.
Unfortunately, when we returned this past weekend, our experience was completely different.
As soon as you walk through the front door, you are met with a terrible odor that smelled like mold, mildew, or something rotten. The elevator had the same unpleasant smell.
Our bathroom was also disappointing. The shower soap dispensers were sitting on the floor instead of being mounted in the shower, and the sink soap dispenser was hanging off the wall. There was only one hand towel provided, and the bathroom was so small that there was barely any counter space for toiletries.
The ice machine was unavailable due to construction, and there was no restaurant or bar on the property. The exterior looked dirty and neglected, and because we arrived at night, the lack of lighting made the property feel uninviting.
One of my biggest concerns was that the elevator security feature was not working, meaning anyone could access any floor. That felt unsafe and should be addressed immediately.
The new floors leading to your room was nice.
