Wonderful hotel
Pros:

The hotel was like a resort for sure. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and I would definitely stay here again. I was actually looking for a reason to go back. The price was not that bad for a nice hotel. The bed was a firm, but it still made for a great night sleep. The rooms were nice and spacious, and we overlooked the pool area and the city. Nice pool area we did go and sit out for a bit and enjoyed the coin bar. The inside bar made a wonderful coffee in the morning. They give you a free beverage coupon upon arrival for a non-alcoholic beverage. They only have valet parking and it's $50 if you order that at the time of booking or $55 when you get there, or $65 for larger vehicles.

Clean, Comfortable, and good food, but should rethink their price point based on competitors
Pros:

Driving in, the entrance is not well marked when you're coming up on the hotel on the right side so we passed it the first time. Valet parking is the most expensive compared to the surrounding hotels at $55-$65 overnight. This location does not offer the kids activity bags like others. The hotel itself is lovely and I would have loved to spend more time relaxing in the Trade bar lounge. They have a shelf of games that the kids played while we were there.

We arrived late in the evening and ordered room service due to the time. We ordered the Carolina elotes, crab cakes, pete and peach wings, and the burger. These were wonderful and a reasonable price. The wings were big and juicy, the homemade ranch was one of my favorites, and we loved the sauce for the crab cakes. The kids ordered grilled cheese and Mac & cheese and these were AWFUL. The grilled cheese was bland, cold, and dry, but the Mac and cheese smelled and tasted rancid. I've eaten fancy funky cheeses and the smell was similar to those but the taste was definitely not-- It may have been the worst thing we've ever tasted. It was actually so bad I asked the front desk to take it off our bill which I never do, and if course they were very apologetic and accommodating with that request which I appreciate.

We stayed on the top floor and had Club 14 access. We booked a 2 queen room, it was a decent size for the 4 of us and I really loved the long couch that ran the entire length of the window. The robes are cozy, though our room only had 1. They provide ample toiletries and at first I loved that they were all in larger bottles so you don't have to fiddle with several tiny bottles, however the sage and lavender scent is so AMAZING that now I'm actually a little sad that I can't bring some tiny bottles home with me!! Our only complaint regarding the room is that the bed frames stick out and are a bit sharp, all of us left with little injuries from whacking knees and feet on them.

The views from the rooftop pool deck are beautiful at night. The pool itself is quite small and not the best for young children. Most of our time spent at the pool was before the bar opened which was a shame because the menu looked great, and I wanted to try the tostones.

The views from the 15th floor are nice in the evenings, but next time I would prefer a hotel with higher floors to get a better skyline view. I wish the Club lounge was open later like others. The breakfast had limited options, but the food they had was delicious. The kids wished they had more variety like cereals, bagels, pastries, or pancakes/French toast. The afternoon snack was a build your own trail mix bar. I would have liked to see a little more variety in the snack options. The evening offerings included wine and beer, a cheese plate, banana pudding, and little sandwich bites and spring rolls. This is why I wish they were open later! It was delicious.

Customer service was never an issue here and everyone was very helpful, but Gabby in Club 14 was the highlight of the hotel. She is so charming! She greeted us by name, remembered our trip plans and asked about them each time we returned, really made us feel at home. And she is so incredibly interesting, we enjoyed chatting with her. Gabby is the main influence that took our stay here from good to great.

Overall it was a nice stay. The rooms and the hotel spaces are clean and comfortable, the food (excluding the kids meals) is great and not overpriced like most hotel restaurants. The lounge could offer a better variety and longer hours. Omni's Club rooms were around the same price as the JW Marriott' Concierge rooms, but the JW has more. Omni would need to make some improvements or reconsider their pricing so they're not competing against the JW amenities, in my opinion. I would stay here again but not if I could stay at the JW for nearly the same price.

Not Your Typical Omni
Pros:

I will start with the pros- The staff was amazing. I needed an early check in during an very busy weekend event in Charlotte and I was accommodated, had to pay a $25 fee but worth it. Location is very central to a lot. Hotel is located within walking distance of the Convention Center. Hotel is embedded within a building with a Starbucks, Walgreens, etc. . Rooftop is AMAZING, hotel gives out free snacks and drinks (Cookies and Lemonade) one evening. Hotel is pet friendly. Room smelled clean upon arrival.
Ok the cons- This is not your typical Omni; it is a little dated! 15th floor had a flood from the rain. I had to hold the handle of my toilet for it to flush. Carpet in my room had stains. My room also had a strong musty smell after a hard rain. Shower floors need updated; tile and grout show its age. I expected more from the Omni brand and for the amount of money spent.

BEST EXPERIENCE!
Pros:

10/10!! from the moment we walked in from the moment we left - everything was perfect. every employee we encountered was nothing but nice and sweet. everyone was just there to help and make sure we had a good time! Clarissa at the front desk was more than sweet - welcomed my arrival and had our room ready. Shout out to the best bartenders - Clint! There was a long haired girl at the pool bar who we loved but i forget her name!! Both bartenders went out of their way to make sure the drinks and food were always flowing! Shout out to the manager Taylor too who always was seen running around and popped by us a few times to makes sure everything was great! would 100 percent be back!!! the location is perfect - everything is within walking distance and our room was clean!

Spent more than I planned
Pros:

So let me start by saying it is totally possible I didnt do enough research which is on me! Next time I am in Charlotte I will put a lot more time into where I stay. For anyone like me who has never stayed in Charlotte before the were a few things that I was not prepared for. 1. There are a lot of extra taxes on the room. City state and even county! My room that was 189 a night was actually closer to 220. Again this is something I could have look more into before going. However what really drove the rate up was having to pay for parking where I stayed. I have been at many hotels in cities all across America and didnt have to pay to park at the hotel. I ended up paying an additional 120 dollars on just parking! Bringing my total to over 250 a night! When I asked thr front desk about parking info I was told its just "a city thing" and they couldnt answer any questions about the actual rules of the parking because it is all third party! So just be careful first time visitors. As my trip was about 30 percent more than I thought it would be. The hotel itself was fine enough, no issues with the room or staff just wish I had more knowledge presented at the time of booking. Which is my fault for not doing more thorough research. Anyway just wanted to give a heads up to any potential guests, budget a bit more than you plan!

Mr Long's (general manager) bait and switch practices
Pros:

My wife Tracey and I traveled to Charlotte to take in the AC DC concert held on July 11, 2026. We had a confirmed reservation (40065464251) at the Omni Charlotte Hotel, where we have been Select Guest member well over 10 years. Without any email notification, and at the direction of Mr Long (General Manager) our reservation was cancelled. We were later advised that the hotel was over sold by +15. (Yet we have a confirmed reservation). The day of the concert we are scrambling to obtain a room. Anxiety level is through the roof. We went back to the Omni site after exhausting other efforts, only to find there was indeed rooms available, but now at the price of $959.00 + taxes. With no choice, we booked late Saturday afternoon. We now wait how the upper management of the Omni Hotel System to address this matter, return us to our original rate and anything else they see fit to improve upon the bad actions of 1 individual who negatively reflects on the good tradition we have had with Omni Hotels through the country.

Breakfast was great!
Pros:

The breakfast was among the best I've ever had from a hotel. And our server Catori, was great. She was very attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about the menu. My wife took all of her recommendations and was very pleased. We spent $55 and neither of us could finish our meals. It was great!

Excellent Customer Service Turned It Around ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pros:

Even though I ran into a small issue after checking in and getting to my original room, the staff turned the experience around immediately. One call to the front desk was all it took, and I was upgraded to a beautiful suite. When the manager came on shift, she personally called to apologize and check that everything had been resolved. That level of professionalism and genuine care really stood out. Excellent customer service can completely change an experience, and that's exactly what happened here. I truly appreciated how quickly and thoughtfully they handled everything, and I will absolutely book here again.

Great Stay at Charlotte Omni
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are lovely. We had an excellent check-in experience and were upgraded to connected rooms, which made our group much more able to interact.
I wouldn't pay the extra price for the club, but the people in there were very nice and the club was clean. It just didn't have amenities that amounted to the price of entry.

Eh. Stay somewhere else.
Pros:

I’d recommend staying elsewhere. The room was average and the service wasn’t good. The pool was truly filthy and attracted a less than desirable crowd. While the rooms were a good temperature (since you can control the thermostat), the hallways and elevators were swelteringly hot and smelly. Also, the indoor barista/bartender was literally never there so we couldn’t ever order a drink. The staff couldn’t give us restaurant recommendations (just looked at us blankly when we asked). Honestly, it was a strange experience and one I’d rather not repeat.

Stay at the Omni for a Masterclass in Indifference
Pros:

We booked the Omni to celebrate my partner's birthday for one reason: the rooftop pool and big screen to spend the afternoon watching the World Cup playoffs. At check-in, we learned the pool would be closed for maintenance for our entire stay (this information was not volunteered, but rather confirmed when I overheard another guest checking in and asked the team member assisting me). No advance notice, no discount, no upgrade, no alternative amenity, and no meaningful apology—just an indifferent "it is what it is" attitude.

Upon check-in, I double-checked my booking and the website. The closure was nowhere to be found on the room booking page (the page Google directs you to when searching for stays), where the pool is still advertised as an included amenity. Only after digging through the website did I find a small notice buried near the bottom of the homepage. Charging full price while quietly removing the property's marquee amenity is unacceptable.

I emailed guest services about it, then tried to reset and salvage the weekend. However, that reset was short-lived. While we were getting ready for dinner, the fire alarm began blaring. My partner was still in the shower, and I was still drying off. We scrambled to get dressed from still-packed suitcases and evacuated, assuming it was a building-wide emergency. After nearly 10 minutes, we exited to the hallway and discovered it was only our room's alarm. During that entire time, no one from the hotel called or came to investigate despite the alarm echoing through the hallway and the displeasure I could hear from guests in surrounding rooms.

Exercising caution, we took the stairs to exit the building. Outside, with no visible evacuation underway, I called the front desk. Their response? "That happens sometimes with hot showers." They said they'd send maintenance. No apology. No concern. With only a few minutes until our dinner reservation, I ended up applying my makeup on the sidewalk and walking to my partner's birthday dinner with wet hair.
Later that night, we tried to salvage the hotel stay with a visit to the rooftop bar. Options were limited and the drink I ordered was unavailable. Yet again, the service was apathetic.

At checkout, I again explained our disappointment over the pool closure. The employee apologized but offered nothing to make up for paying full price for a stay, missing the very amenity we booked it for. Nearly a week later, guest services finally replied to my check-in email. It was a canned, vague response that, while apologetic, once again took no responsibility and made no attempt to make things right.

Maintenance issues happen. False alarms happen. Running out of menu items happens. What shouldn't happen at a $530-per-night “luxury” hotel is consistently indifferent service, poor communication, and zero accountability. Every failure was an opportunity to recover the guest experience, and the Omni missed every single one.

For $530, the rooms, amenities, service, and location simply aren't worth it. Throw a stone and you’ll find superior hospitality. If you’re considering a stay at Omni, take this review as a glowing endorsement for the JW Marriott.

Horrible I was robbed by your garage staff
Pros:

My experience was mared by the thief of my expensive Item from my vehicle by the late night 03:00 valet.
I went out for a celebration June 27-28 and returned after drinking around 03:00.
When you let the valet park your car you take your key fob Mercedes Benz AMG GLE black, off your key ring and hand it to them to park your car!
I paid an extra $60.00 above the $55.00 to keep my vehicle parked top side out front.
When I returned to get my vehicle the key to the glove compartment was missing from my key fob and my Creed Adventus cologne valued at $500.00 was missing from my console.
I will never return to this hotel in Charlotte NC.

Omni in CLT is amazing.
Pros:

Very easy for check-in process. Arielle at the front desk was so kind and attentive. The hotel was very clean and smelled nice. Our room was spectacular on the 15th floor. The views outside were amazing. They were close to a lot of stuff in uptown, Charlotte.
