The place to stay around the Disney area when traveling with active teens.
Pros:

Common areas, 2 pools, pickleball, basketball courts, gym, has a gelato shop and great foot at the restaurant. It has a Starbucks!

Cons:

This is a high rotation stay property, so room furniture is hard to maintain at its best. But, our stay was great.

Hyatt OC - great rooms and staff
Pros:

Wonderful experience for Disney bound families. Hyatt OC is a great value for families. The suites are larger and worth the extra cost for the space and beds. It helps to be part of the World of Hyatt program. Staff friendliness is their greatest asset. Gladys, Bernice, Michael are amazingly friendly, warm, and professional. Managers JoAnn and Bryan are quick to deal with any issues affecting your stay. There are so many hotels and resorts in the areas but we always stay ay the Hyatt OC. It’s the perfect distance, far away enough from Dland to get a break and drive to Westminster/Garden Grove for food and close enough that the shuttle ride is not annoying once you learn the schedule. The shuttle price and parking should be combined together so it’s not so expensive.

My default Disneyland hotel
Pros:

This is my default, go-to hotel for Disneyland. I have stayed here more times than I can count over the last 20 years. Staying here is a "no-brainer" for me. We love the unique bunk bed rooms, but we don't always get them. We've also had the enormous 1 bedroom suite. There is something FUN about huuuuuge hotel rooms. Come to think of it, I've never had the same room twice, they are all wildly different. The worst thing about this hotel is the maintenance issues like peeling paint, loose electrical outlets, and we have had more than one plumbing issue (toilet) requiring awkward maintenance calls. But the overall experience of the hotel, the soaring lobby, the Starbucks, easy parking, cool bar, great breakfast, friendly staff, and convenient location wins me over time and again. On the most recent stay we loved the HUGE pool and hot tub, we had it all to ourselves. The outdoor facilities at this hotel are great.

Nice option for Disneyland
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel for a recent family trip to Disneyland. This is a very nice hotel a short distance from Disneyland at half the cost of those that are within walking distance. Since it is not within walking distance, they provide a shuttle every 30 minutes for a fee of $7.00 per person, which drops you off at a close, convenient location at Disney. HOTEL: clean, comfortable, quiet--nice fluffy towels and comfortable bedding. The room had a small fridge and a Keurig machine (microwave down the hall by the ice machine). No complimentary food. Self-parking is conveniently located, costs $35.00. There is also a valet option. SHUTTLE: The ride to Disneyland takes about 10-15 minutes. Hints: Take a screenshot of the receipt they send you so you can easily access it because you need to show it each time you use the shuttle. Also, if you want to take the first bus of the day (45 minutes before park opens) be sure to get in line early; it was packed the two days we rode it with every seat taken and the aisles full of people standing up. It was the same when riding one of the later buses for the ride home at night. RECAP: All in all, I recommend this hotel as a very nice hotel, more affordable than others in the area, especially hotels of this nice quality.
