Encanto histórico y ubicación ideal con los desafíos de un clásico
Pros:

Ubicación inmejorable: Situado a solo unos pasos de Union Square, ofrece un acceso excelente al tranvía tradicional, al metro (BART), así como a múltiples tiendas y restaurantes de la zona.

​Trato del personal: El servicio de recepción y del personal es amable, eficiente y colaborador. Hay algunos que hablan español.

​Detalles y comodidad: Habitaciones amplias con camas muy confortables, destacando positivamente servicios como la estación de agua gratuita en el vestíbulo y el café matutino.

Cons:

​Aislamiento acústico deficiente: Al tratarse de un edificio histórico, las paredes son bastante delgadas y las puertas pesadas, lo que provoca que se escuche con facilidad el ruido de las habitaciones contiguas y el bullicio de la transitada calle exterior.

​Instalaciones antiguas: Algunos elementos reflejan los años del hotel, reportándose tuberías ruidosas en los baños o la falta de aire acondicionado centralizado para los meses más cálidos.

Pros:

Location is 2 minutes walk to Union Sq and a Trolley stop. Room was spacious and very clean. Bed and pillows were really good. Shower in the bath, but not something that would stop me staying here again. Free water in the lobby along with free coffee from 7am. The cheesecake factory, above Macy's in the Union Sq, is a 2 min walk and the food is exceptional.
Can't really fault the hotel and if we ever go back would definitely stay here again. The staff we met were excellent and very friendly.

Nous étions 4 et avons réservé une chambre avec deux lits doubles. Les lits ne sont pas doubles et sont trop étroits pour 2 personnes. Nous n’avons pas pu prendre une autre chambre malheureusement

Un super hôtel pour profiter de SF !!
Pros:

Calme, avec un cachet bien à lui, le personnel est discret mais toujours prêt à aider.
Café / thé avec madeleine pour le petit déjeuner de 7h00 à 10h30 sympa pour commencer la journée.
Distributeur gratuit eau plate et gazeuse pour remplir sa gourde….
Bien situé, à 3 min de Union Square et très bien pour découvrir la ville.
Recommandation pour ceux qui ont le temps et qui aiment la nature : visite Muir Woods obligatoire (bus 120 et bus 61 )

Cons:

Un thé ou café en fin de journée aurait été le bien venu.

Cons:

The staff were rude, not friendly, need more training for the service industry. Specifically, a staff member named Sally said to us, "You get what you paid for", which was very rude, when we asked to change the room.

Pros:

The hotel has a great deal of character which reflects it's age and history. Situated very close to Union Square and a short walk from the tram terminus, and Dart station, we found it easy to travel around the city.the free water station in the lobby was a great help.

Cons:

Some of the facilities reflected the age of the hotel e.g. the noisy plumbing in the bathroom. The road outside is busy and noisy, as was the restaurant next door which played loud music until about 3:00am one evening. Doors were heavy and were noisy when closing and the walls were quite thin so we could hear families in the next room.
Despite being told the room would not be cleaned unless we asked, we were disturbed twice by staff knocking on the door for housekeeping.

Pros:

Good location, ok rooms, great value. It's an older hotel and the furnishings and finishes reflect that. However, it was overall a quite good value stay compared to other accommodations.

Cons:

I wish the walls had been a bit better insulated. Each night, I could hear the couple next door engaging in their amorous activities.

Great hotel, we highly recommend it!
Pros:

Great hotel with nice old fashioned atmosphere and in a good location. Plenty of transport, shopping and restaurants nearby. Staff always helpful and polite. Room very quiet.

Great focal point to access downtown sights and shops
Pros:

Faded grandeur of the hotel was charming.. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Great central and safe downtown location close to cable car Mason Powell turnaroubd start point

I would stay again!
Pros:

Location was great, walkable to so much including a cable car stop and union square. Staff was very friendly. Coffee in the morning was good. The building was beautiful

Cons:

I was in two different rooms during my stay. the first was spacious but smelled a bit like moth balls. The second smelled ok but the bathroom was a bit out of date. Both were fine though!
The building was just a bit shoddy.
