Very old
Staff was exceptionally helpful
After arriving in San Jose tired and jet-lagged, the last thing I wanted to hear was that there was an issue with my booking. Joseph was fantastic—patient, understanding, and quick to resolve the problem. He turned what could have been a stressful start to my trip into a smooth check-in and truly saved my vacation plans. Thank you, Joseph!
Clean and staff very friendly
Everything was good
The cookies!...The staff actually.
Nothing.
We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose from July 1–2. We paid for parking in their "Paid Secure Lot", expecting our vehicle would be reasonably secure.
Unfortunately, overnight someone broke into our car by smashing the window. We later learned that six other vehicles in the same parking area were also broken into that night. We filed a police report, and according to the responding officers, hotel security stated that the parking lot cameras were not functioning. We were then told by the hotel security that their insurance would take care of it, so we didn't run the repairs through our insurance..
Fortunately, we did not leave any valuables in the vehicle, so nothing was stolen. However, we were left with the cost and inconvenience of replacing the broken window. Afterward, the hotel's insurance company contacted us and informed us they would not cover any of the damages.
What started as a $300 hotel stay ended up costing us much more $$$ after repairs. If vehicle security is important to you, I would recommend considering one of the other hotels in the area that offers secure parking with functioning surveillance. This experience was a major disappointment and not what we expected from a Hilton property.
Room was dirty and in disrepair.
Carpets are dirty, shower tile was dirty, hand held shower head is broken they used tape to hold it together. Saw large bugs in the common areas. Furniture in lobby is damaged. Our room smelled like dirty feet. This place needs to be shut down and remodeled. It’s pretty disgusting.
Only good thing is the lobby store, and the bar food and drinks are good.
The property’s was centrally located close enough to Santana Row in San Jose, set on a large parcel of land with plenty of guest parking spaces.
Had couple of choices of restaurants & dining.
The carpets in the hallways and rooms were worn out and a bit dirty. They needed a good steam cleaning.
There was only one trash can in the room, expected one in bathroom & another near the desk.
There was no sign to hang on the door for cleaning or do not disturb.
Looks like checklist for rooms were not strictly maintained.
Location was great
It needs to be remodel
Not a 4 star hotel and dirty and old and A/C not working
Old and ac not working Hot
The room seemed a little bit dated it could use a little bit updating and remodeling.
I stayed there two weeks ago, and I noticed a few days after coming back home that the only thing I was missing was my little bag full of jewelry which included my wedding band, wedding ring, necklace and earrings . Mind you I stayed there all weekend and have my jewelry on me except for one hour when I had to teach at one of the ballrooms. Prior to me leaving that hour I did have the jewelry in the bag. After I return from my class, I packed my stuff to leave. When I was unpacking my stuff I realized that was the only missing items
I tried to contact the hotel to see if it was left or if someone had turned it in because it could only have been in the hotel room
They sent me to a security site where I still haven’t heard any information. Nobody was trying to be helpful. It’s actually ridiculous that my items were for sure there and now they’re gone missing and nobody wants to be helpful. There was a lot of other sketchy stuff that happened that weekend that I do not want to post, but will if necessary. All I ask is for my items to either be returned or for the cost of the items to be returned. These are very valuable sentimental items.
