We love our suite room 1101. The GYM excellence and we love the chilaquiles at breakfast
Killer location with some great sites to see within walking distance. The pool on the terrace was perfect for cooling off. The whole team from valet to pool to foh were all on point!
We love this hotel! It’s such a convenient location and the staff is wonderful. The rooms are not as up to date but the pool and atmosphere definitely make up for it!
Fantastic experience. The bar staff was friendly and well trained. Kevin at the front desk was superlative!
Our stay at the Fairmont Dallas was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my daughter’s very first hotel experience magical.
They welcomed my 5-year-old daughter and my 1-year-old with balloons and teddy bears, and they called us “the royal family.” They even called my little girl “Princess Elena,” and she was absolutely glowing with excitement the entire time. She kept asking, “How do they know my name?!” 🥹 They truly made her feel like a real princess, and as a mom, that meant everything to me.
The rooms were spotless, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the entire hotel felt warm, elegant, and relaxing. We also ordered room service, and the food was amazing — fresh, delicious, and delivered quickly.
The valet service was another highlight. Every time we were ready for our car, we would call ahead, and by the time we made it down to the lobby, our car was already there waiting for us. The convenience and customer service were top tier.
Overall, we had the most amazing experience, and we highly recommend everyone — especially families with children — to stay here. The staff truly knows how to make kids feel special and welcomed. Elena is already asking when we can come back again! 💕 Thank you for creating such beautiful memories for our family. We will definitely be back!
I very much like Fairmont Hotels, but this is not among the better ones. The hotel is simply tired-it definitely could use a remodeling. My room was large and had a good sized work area. The bathroom was small and very dated. The room lacked a sufficient number of outlets and was dark-there was no overhead light in the living area and there were not enough working lamps.
I will happily stay at other Fairmonts, but likely not this one.
My stay at the Fairmont Dallas was chaotic and deeply concerning from start to finish.
Upon arrival, I was told at the front desk that I had already checked out. I provided my government-issued ID and my reservation confirmation number, yet I waited nearly an hour only to be informed that my assigned room had been given to someone else. Eventually, I was issued a room.
The following day, two security officers came to my room and told me I should not be there. When I contacted the front desk, I was told they had been notified that I was hospitalized. I went to the front desk in person, where I was questioned loudly about my identity and asked to provide my ID—without the staff member initially identifying herself. She later stated her name was Rebecca, the manager. This interaction took place surrounded by two security officers, hotel employees, and passing guests, creating the impression that I was attempting identity fraud.
I was told that my bill needed to be paid in full immediately, which was done by my finance associate who was also attending the same conference. Later that evening, it was finally determined that there was another guest with the same name—an employee of the conference host—who was actually hospitalized and had a completely different confirmation number.
To be clear: I had already presented valid identification, my employer affiliation, and my reservation confirmation, none of which matched the hospitalized individual. It is difficult to understand how this confusion could not have been resolved without repeated disruptions, public confrontations, and unnecessary involvement of security.
The issues continued when my room key stopped working and I was once again told I had checked out, despite my scheduled checkout being the following day.
At checkout, I was charged inconsistently for two identical room service meals, with a $12 difference. I was told a tip had been added to one bill but not the other, even though I tipped in cash when the food was delivered. To their credit, the $12 discrepancy was eventually resolved.
I was also advised that I would receive a written apology letter from Rebecca and that the General Manager would personally reach out to make things right regarding the confusion and disruptions during my stay. To date, I have received neither a letter nor any communication from the General Manager.
Overall, this experience reflects a serious breakdown in communication, guest privacy, and basic reservation management. What should have been a routine hotel stay turned into a stressful and embarrassing experience that was never properly acknowledged or resolved.
Ernesto and Ross were fabulous! They help us find great food near by. Mr Landon was so helpful and nice on the first night when we arrived late from the airport! Great staff
From the spacious and comfy rooms to the nightly turndown service, no detail was overlooked. I spent time in the gorgeous terrace pool and shopped for souvenirs in the giant gift shop on site. I splurged on breakfast in bed one morning with my curtains open to a Dallas skyline view.
One of my absolute favorite parts of the entire visit, though, was visiting with Kalani in the Gold Lounge. Even though I was a solo traveler, she made me feel like I wasn’t here alone.
From the Fairmont I was able to walk to many attractions.
We stayed here from April 3rd to April 4th and had a mostly enjoyable visit, but one incident at arrival is worth calling out.
While waiting to enter the valet area, a white vehicle sped past our car, missing us by just inches. The driver then struck the mirror of another parked car while attempting to avoid a collision. He proceeded to reverse and park in the hotel’s valet area.
When I approached him, he responded dismissively and, in an arrogant tone, asked whether he had hit my car. When I asked to speak with a manager, he stated that he was the manager and claimed the situation had already been handled. There was no clear answer on whether the owner of the damaged vehicle would be notified. The overall attitude and lack of accountability were concerning—especially when you’re trusting valet staff with your car.
To his credit, he offered to waive the valet charge, which I initially declined, but he insisted.
That said, I want to highlight the excellent service we received elsewhere—especially from Chef Concierge Philip Powell. He was outstanding, incredibly kind, and went out of his way to make our kids feel welcome. He truly represents the level of hospitality you expect from a property like this.
Overall, the hotel itself is great, but the valet experience left a lasting negative impression. I hope management takes a closer look at how guest vehicles are handled and how situations like this are addressed.
One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff was incredible from booking to check-in through the stay. Room was great but people were better
The Internet in my room did not work. I called downstairs and they gave me various tips, none of them worked. I asked for a quiet room and my room was facing the freeway. I was very frustrated and will never stay there again.
Good location just a few blocks from Main Street
Great check in we arrived early no room available which is ok the young lad who checked us in gave us 2 free drinks from the bar which was fantastic
Large room very dated great city view
Large comfy bed
Good shower
Great fitness room
Large outdoor pool shame its not heated
While we had a pleasant stay for 4 nights as a family of four during spring break, the Fairmont Dallas is showing its age and looking worn around the edges. Not what I was expecting from a Fairmont property, having stayed at several. However, all the staff we encountered, valet, front desk, bellhop, etc were exceptionally helpful. I will give this Fairmont credit for correcting an issue we had with our suite and moving us to another room; their handling of the situation was appreciated. The gold level lounge was excellent and perfect to grab coffee and a light breakfast before starting our day. However, if you're looking for a hotel with newer finishes and in better condition, there are probably better options downtown Dallas.
Lira is the best server. So amazing and genuine as her customer service goes over and beyond! Please make sure to ask for her when you go to the restaurant/bar!
I have stayed at the Fairmont multiple times over the years. This was certainly the low point. Only one of the three elevators in the South tower was working for much of our two night stay. If there are service elevators for housekeeping and room service, they must have been out of order also because we would stop on almost every floor for service staff trying to use the elevators also. The menu in the restaurant was pretentious and the service was lousy. It took three tries to get my sons simple meal order correct. There were not enough outlets in the room, which is unacceptable these days with the number of devices an average person may need to plug in.
Kalani and Janine have been fantastic during our stay. We can’t speak highly enough of both of them.
My husband and I stayed at Fairmont Dallas for my birthday and WOW. What started as a basic king room turned into a surprise suite upgrade thanks to the best front office manager, Bui. He noticed it was my birthday, upgraded us, and even sent up a card + champagne. 🥂
The suite? Huge. Elegant. That antique, old-money, generational wealth type of luxury. Some may call it “dated” — I call it timeless.
Every single person was kind — valet, housekeeping, everyone. Starbucks downstairs was clutch. Being right in the Arts District (literally across from the museum) made it feel cultured and upscale.
Only tiny cons of I had to pick:
• Food was a little pricey
• Restaurants closed around 10 PM (no late-night snacks)
• Shower took a minute to get to my “lava hot” preference (my husband said it was perfect 😂)
None of that changed the experience. If you want to feel rich, bougie, and spoiled and not have to break the bank— this is your spot.
I’d give it 10 stars if I could. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yasmin and Dom from Starbucks were amazing! They made me the BEST caramel macchiato I have ever had! Will return to this Starbucks location :D
For the entirety of our 4 day stay, 80% of elevators were broken, with no communication or efforts by the hotel to fix any elevators. Literally 1 elevator operating per tower.
Translated: If you're staying on the 20th floor, you either walk 20 floors down or up... or wait 30 minutes for full elevators to continually arrive at your floor, until you get so frustrated you ride the elevator UP, just to get on, and then watch as the elevator opens on every floor to desperate guests trying to get down, on every floor.
