nothing, it was just what we needed
Before booking, I had read several reviews mentioning problems with the air conditioning, but I assumed the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately, it had not.
Our room was extremely hot throughout our stay because the air conditioning was not working properly. We reported the problem and asked for it to be fixed, but nothing changed, and we were never offered another room. Sleeping comfortably was very difficult.
The Wi-Fi in our room was also too weak to do any work, making it impossible to rely on for emails or video calls.
The hotel is in a beautiful location, and the staff were generally pleasant. However, for a hotel in this price range, the failure to address these issues was very disappointing. If you are planning to visit Venice during the summer, I cannot recommend staying here until the air conditioning issues have been properly resolved.

We loved the location. With two kids under ten, it was an exciting area and there were many more kids at the hotel!
We loved the rooftop bar, the DJ spinning his tunes, the great waitstaff up there, the view, the set up. We loved the bathrooms, the marble is timeless, the tubs and shower water pressure was divine. We really liked the many areas where you could sit and relax throughout the lobby area. We loved champagne and cookies on arrival for our family! We loved being picked up and dropped off at the dock in front of the hotel, and how attentive the reception people were when making transportation reservations for us. We loved the breakfast buffet and the lovely solarium it was in. The rooms were very well cleaned and maintained. Overall the room was very quiet. I highly recommend this hotel for families...one our rooms was a suite with two bedrooms and an adjoining hallway between the two. Very safe. We also loved having a nice sitting room separate from the bedroom in our suite. Overall, the hotel was very competitive price wise and much more reasonable than many of the hotels in Venice.
The beds are a bit firm though we slept very well. There are areas, particularly around the lobby that could use some maintenance and refreshing. It's very colourful and inviting with lots of seating. So nice to order a cool drink on arrival at the little lobby bar!

A most lovely hotel - the beautiful furnishings and decor enhance the feeling of style in this hotel. The location is perfect, being a short walk from the main sights and close to lots of amazing restaurants. Surprisingly quiet given its city location.
Fabulous location, (just a couple walking blocks from the Rialto) professional and delightful staff! We traveled with our teenage granddaughter and we had the loveliest room with a view of a canal along with an additional bed in the main area. Breakfast buffet served in beautiful room. As it was a birthday trip for our granddaughter, a beautiful note and a few goodies were awaiting her. So thoughtful! Also loved that the staff ordered a vaporetto to the train station from their own loading area. Would recommend in a heartbeat and will definitely stay again!
