The hotel met our needs (primarily location) but seemed a little overpriced.
Pros:

LOCATION! Very close to the train station-walkable in 10 minutes, and well-situated for downtown. About 15 minutes walk over to RISD and Brown.
The staff—front desk, cleaning staff, worker to fix twisted blind—were all friendly and efficient.
The bed was great, toiletries in the bathroom were great too.
Decent coffee-shop inside the hotel—though also others within 5 minutes walk.
Direct, undercover connection to the Providence Place mall, lots of shops and food places.

Cons:

No clock radio! Even with TV and wake-up calls, and presumably people having a cell phone to tell time, I think a visual reminder of the time, and the chance to catch up with news and play music, is essential.

The bathroom had insufficient places to hang up towels: only one double-headed hook on the door. This would not hold two bath towels for drying—and it was impossible for a shorter person to throw one over the shower curtain rail. It was also impossible to reach a towel on the door hook from the shower/tub without getting out.

The lobby was smaller than expected, and awkwardly furnished—chairs and tables were too close together. It was almost impossible to get through or around (entry door to the front desk, or from the stairs/elevators to other parts of the hotel, including second floor restaurant) when people also had luggage there.

Great location/size/cleanliness. Could be more comfy.
Pros:

The location was perfect. The staff were nice and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very big. The view was great.

Cons:

Bed was big, but not as comfortable as it looked. Staff fixed an issue with the AC, but the room didnt get under 71 which was uncomfortable for me.

The staff was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, professional, and eager to assist. We received exactly what we needed within minutes, which made the entire experience smooth and efficient.
