Marriott Kansas City Overland Park

Absolutely love this property. The beds are comfortable, the staff are super accommodating, and the Marriott members lounge is one of the best! I love working in the area as our stay is always wonderful. It also helps that there is a convenient Starbucks downstairs!

Loved our stay! Quiet room like we requested and room was exceptionally clean! All front desk staff were friendly and helpful!

Had three rooms...two were adjoining and the other was off on the same floor near the ice machine and elevators. This just proves that no one at Marriott looks at our profiles. Mine has both as verboten and has been there since becoming a member a very long time ago. Plus, it's Kansas for crying out loud...why do we pay $15 per day to park? Raise the room rate and don't charge for parking if you are that hard-up for revenue. And speaking of parking - put some instructions on that kiosk on how to get out of the parking lot...4 cars were backed up while someone from Iowa did everything he could think of trying to get outta there. I started crying and it seemed to work for the dude from Iowa. Jeez, what a circus!!! BTW....it's not like there is limited space on the kiosk to put some helpful hints....my thesis would fit on that beast. And...don't put the instructions in 6-point font, we older folks have trouble reading that....in fact, have an older citizen test your theory (or a dude from Iowa) prior to going to production with whatever changes you implement. Remember....I am here to help!!!

Lovely property and staff. Room was nice and centrally located for all our family events.

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Marriot Kansas City Overland park. The atmosphere is lively (the bar/restaurant is always full but not to the point you can't get a table), rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and the club is stocked incredibly well!

This hotel is not at all what I would expect for a Marriott, it could have been a Best Western. Easily the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at, they need to tear it down and start over. Stay elsewhere.

Check in was great, room lovely, and overall experience was awesome.

Front desk employees were miserable. Everyone else was nice. Rooms were clean a bit worn but nice.

If it was not for a sporting event, that my granddaughter was playing in I would have not chosen this hotel. The front desk staff are not helpful. This hotel has gated parking in which we always had to push the help button to get the gates to go up, where all you needed to do was use your room key. It has an outdoor/indoor swimming pool but since they opened the outdoor pool to early the indoor pool was super cold, where the kids did not want to swim. They advertise a restaurant, but it has a limited menu and no kid menu. Since we were there for an event, we did get free breakfast was not told where the breakfast was being served. The rooms are only one or two king beds. If you get a 2 king bed room you only get a desk chair. I had the front desk to have the maid stop by room on the 3rd day just to get clean towels, toliet paper and Kleenex.

The room was very comfy and big, but I wish it had had a bathtub in the bathroom.

Great service staff and food. The bar service and drinks were top knotch.

Overall, this is a very nice hotel to stay at. The features that were offered were very nice, with the exception of our ice machine not working on our floor and having issues getting in and out of parking through the gate. I would recommend staying here though otherwise. Right off freeway with easy access to area attractions. Onsite restaurant and bar were great and the rooms accommodating.

Very clean and beds are comfortable

We were displaced from our original hotel and moved late in the evening to this Marriott location. The front desk person was exceptionally friendly and helpful despite how busy they were both in the lobby and at the front desk. Her calm and friendly approach made our transition much more pleasant. The lobby and room were very nice and clean.

Nice clean rooms. We were in town for a ball tournament and after a long day at the ball parks it was nice to be able to rest in a clean, comfortable room.
