Really cold front desk service. I arrived a little early, around 3:15 pm, to check in and was flat-out denied check-in before 4 pm. Came back around 3:45 pm and people in lines already been checked in before 4 pm. Why make contradictory rules for different people checking into the same hotel at the same time? Really disappointed with the service. I observed the bias towards certain customers. Did not want to cause a scene because that is below me, but would not recommend anyone stay here if you are paying good money and are treated this way. I would take my business elsewhere.

It was fair.
Pros:

It was very clean.

Cons:

Pool was ice cold. No microwave in room.
We were in adjoining room and people on other side we could hear thru the door.

Best OVP Hotel for Work or Leisure!
Pros:

Absolutely love this property. The beds are comfortable, the staff are super accommodating, and the Marriott members lounge is one of the best! I love working in the area as our stay is always wonderful. It also helps that there is a convenient Starbucks downstairs!

Prisoners in a Marriott Hotel Parking Lot!!! In Kansas!!! In a thunderstorm!!!!
Pros:

Had three rooms...two were adjoining and the other was off on the same floor near the ice machine and elevators. This just proves that no one at Marriott looks at our profiles. Mine has both as verboten and has been there since becoming a member a very long time ago. Plus, it's Kansas for crying out loud...why do we pay $15 per day to park? Raise the room rate and don't charge for parking if you are that hard-up for revenue. And speaking of parking - put some instructions on that kiosk on how to get out of the parking lot...4 cars were backed up while someone from Iowa did everything he could think of trying to get outta there. I started crying and it seemed to work for the dude from Iowa. Jeez, what a circus!!! BTW....it's not like there is limited space on the kiosk to put some helpful hints....my thesis would fit on that beast. And...don't put the instructions in 6-point font, we older folks have trouble reading that....in fact, have an older citizen test your theory (or a dude from Iowa) prior to going to production with whatever changes you implement. Remember....I am here to help!!!

Always a great stay!
Pros:

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Marriot Kansas City Overland park. The atmosphere is lively (the bar/restaurant is always full but not to the point you can't get a table), rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and the club is stocked incredibly well!

Maybe was a good hotel 30 years ago
Pros:

This hotel is not at all what I would expect for a Marriott, it could have been a Best Western. Easily the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at, they need to tear it down and start over. Stay elsewhere.
