Exceptional service that turned everything around. A truly memorable stay

I recently stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva, Switzerland, and the experience was outstanding. The hotel has a wing with older rooms, which are still good, but upon arrival I asked to be moved to a different room. My request was promptly and graciously handled by the staff, with great politeness and hospitality.

My new room was spacious, beautiful, fully renovated, and had a stunning view directly overlooking the river. I had wonderful days there.

I did have a small issue with a guest in the room above mine who was making a lot of noise during the night. The hotel was incredibly attentive throughout. They kept in touch with me during the night and early hours, and even sent security to check on the room upstairs. Their responsiveness was impressive.

A very special mention goes to the General Manager, Anita Radovic, who deserves recognition for her courtesy, warmth, and the exceptional way she handled everything. Thanks to her and the entire team, what could have been a less-than-perfect experience turned into an extremely pleasant stay. I felt genuinely welcomed and completely comfortable throughout my time at the hotel.

Honestly nothing

The reception staff and the staff outside by the entrance were extremely friendly and welcoming. The staff who brought my room service were also very professional, courteous, and helpful.

Overall, everyone went above and beyond to ensure I had a positive experience. I particularly appreciated how staff regularly checked on guests to make sure they were comfortable and had everything they needed.

The food was of a very high quality, and my room was always clean and well maintained. Whenever I requested housekeeping, it was completed promptly, usually within just a few minutes.

This is definitely my preferred hotel for all future holidays in Geneva. I would highly recommend it and look forward to staying here again.

Si, no es nada fuera de lo común

It is a lovely modern property very well located in the heart of Geneva. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were really wonderful. We were celebrating an anniversary and they gave us a free bottle of very nice champagne and a cake as well as a card. I really found the whole vibe of the Hotel to be quite exceptional. Well done, Mandarin Oriental Management and Staff!

From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like we were in the right hands. We were warmly welcomed and upgraded to a breathtaking room with views to the river and the old town, that honestly had everything we could have wished for.
Dinner at Sachi was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Every single course was delicious and the whole experience felt really special. Breakfast was just as delicious.
But what really made this stay unforgettable was the staff. Attentive, genuinely warm, always one step ahead without ever making you feel watched. You could tell they actually cared. When we left, our car was waiting at the door pointed in exactly the right direction, that says it all.
We came for one night and left wishing we'd booked more. We will definitely be back.

This is an old school beautiful European hotel. What makes the hotel special is that the service is uniformly excellent across the board. Rooms are small but well equipped. Food is good. Great location.

The work is not at the level of a 5 star bad hotel

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Mandarin Oriental Geneva and felt warmly welcomed from the very beginning during our stay from Friday, May 1st to Saturday, May 2nd.

Our check-in with Victoria/Vittoria was excellent. She gave us all the necessary information, made us feel very comfortable and even accompanied us personally to our room. The gentleman at the entrance was also very attentive and immediately helped us with our luggage upon arrival.

We were delighted to receive an upgrade to a Mandarin River View Room, which was absolutely beautiful. The room was spacious, very well designed and elegantly furnished. We especially loved the large window front and the many mirrors throughout the room, which made everything feel even brighter and more luxurious. We were also welcomed with fresh fruits and a lovely amenity, which was such a thoughtful touch. Thank you very much for that.

The next morning, Cedric at the concierge desk helped us plan our day in Geneva, as it was our first time visiting the city. He showed us the city map, gave us recommendations on what to explore and suggested several restaurants for us to try. His advice truly helped make our day perfect, so a special thank you again to Cedric for his kindness and professionalism.

On the evening of May 1st, we also had dinner and drinks at the bar. Unfortunately, we do not remember the name of the waitress who assisted us, but she had dark hair tied back in a high ponytail and wore a dark/black suit. She was incredibly friendly and helpful when recommending dishes and drinks. The food was fantastic. I had the wagyu steak, my boyfriend chose the club sandwich, and we also shared two starters. Everything was delicious, including the cocktails.

Breakfast was another highlight for us. We especially loved that the pastries, such as the croissants and pain au chocolat, were homemade and clearly labelled as such. It was also wonderful that a freshly prepared hot dish from the breakfast menu was included and made directly by the kitchen.

Overall, we had an amazing stay. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and attentive, and the hotel truly offers everything one could wish for. We would gladly return.
