Room clean and comfortable, mattress and bedding good. Much better than when I last stayed there, around 6 years ago.
Overall very dated
I prepaid for my breakfast with my booking. The Sunday was delicious with a cooked breakfast. Monday was just toast or cereal definitely not value for money and very overpriced
Restaurant clean and comfortable
On arrival the reception had trouble finding my booking. Only some of the light bulbs in the room worked.
The bathroom was extremely tired looking
My view was a fence
Toilet in reception sinks and toilets have timescale stain giving the initial impression they are not clean

The shower had good power to it
Most of it sadly, most dated and unclean room I've stayed in for a long time. Room felt like I was down in the basement, looked awful on approach and so far away from the lift/stairs/ reception. Heating wasnt working and was cold in the room, had to double up the duvet to be warm. Was loud coughing right outside my room after 2300 which woke me and seemed to be a smoking area. Doors banging near midnight. Dark in car park so couldn't see where I was walking. Definitely not worth what is charged here. Was very disappointed.
Great stay and will definitely return
It was quiet and the layout is good
It was cold in the room, the receptionist/manager came to our room and gave us an extra duvet each. This was of course very helpful but to get out in the night to use the bathroom was cold. That was our only grief.

Little bit chaotic and dated, but perfectly fine.
Due to a lack of staff, the bar and restaurant services were below par. The food was adequate, but not quite what I expected. The bar service was slow, but in fairness to the bar staff for the most part there was only one person on duty, and she had to double up in the restaurant with serving up food.
Overall, the hotel is adequate for overnight stays, but falls short for longer stays.

The hotel was very well located for the activity the next day. The view over the lake is interesting. Check-in was straightforward. The room was fine and the bed comfortable.
The shower was in a bath that was quite high and not easy to exit, with no assistance, such as handrails. The evening meal was not well done. There were insufficient staff, who, despite their best efforts, could not keep up with the demand for food. The dishes for our table of four were each delivered individually, with delays between them, which spoiled the dinner for us. Two members of our party ordered the sticky toffee pudding. It wasn't a sticky toffee pudding - just a steamed sponge with syrup. And the kitchen had run out of vanilla ice cream, so we had raspberry ice cream - interesting... At breakfast, there was no coffee, so we had to make Nescafe with water that was merely warm.
It was close to other facilities eg park
I liked the pond and the mural on the ceiling also the black shiny tiles on the bathroom floor
I didn't have breakfast because I thought it was too expensive and only available for 1hr 30min
