The hotel is in a convenient location with good public transport connections, making it easy to explore Copenhagen. The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable.
We booked this hotel expecting a 4-star experience, as it was advertised as a four-star hotel when we made the reservation. Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to those expectations.
The room only provided body wash—there was no shampoo or other basic toiletries. For a four-star hotel, this was disappointing, as we had to go out and buy our own shampoo.
We had purchased breakfast for three days. The limited breakfast selection would have been acceptable for one morning, but the overall organization was not. Guests were not shown to a table and had to find one themselves. Almost every table was empty but marked with a “Reserved” sign. As a result, the three of us ended up squeezed around a small table for two in the corner while most of the dining room remained empty.
On the day of departure, at exactly 10:00 a.m., a housekeeper unlocked and entered our room without knocking, then immediately left. A few moments later, a staff member from reception came to our room and simply asked why we were still in the room and whether we were checking out. The situation was confusing, and it was only when we went downstairs to the reception desk that we found out check-out was actually at 12:00 p.m. We were also told that we had been mistakenly checked out early by a member of the hotel staff.
Overall, the experience did not match the hotel’s advertised star rating. The level of service and professionalism was disappointing, and several situations could have been handled much better. Based on our experience, this hotel deserves 2 out of 5 stars at best.
