Excellent location and beautiful property
Pros:

Egide & Julius were great at attending to everything. The location is beautiful, the rooms huge and well set up. Hot water bottles at bed at night were almost too hot, so they did the job!

Cons:

There was like warm water at best to shower. The rooms stay cold so it’s not pleasant to take a semi cold shower. I understand that no wifi in the rooms is for people to connect with the nature, but there’s not a lot to do after it gets dark at 19:00, and it’s 2025, put WiFi in them.

Amazing and exceptional lodge
Pros:

The Team were extremely attentive and could not do enough for us to make our stay comfortable. This lodge is one of the best accommodation I have visited. From the decor, set up, staff and food, all were at an excellent standard.

Great stay, great location and excellent food.
Pros:

This is a unique property. Each guest has their own cottage with a very large bedroom, bathroom, and front porch. The property has a beautiful garden in back and a fire pit seating area in front. The food was excellent. And the location was ideal, close to Volcanoes National Park.

Pros:

Lovely place, well located, amazing staff, very good food, comfortable common areas and rooms, attention to detail including boot cleaning, foot massages, bed warmers, nice fireplace in room, bathrobes and slippers, tea in room, lovely garden, etc.

From the minute we arrived we were welcomed with open arms 💕
ALL the staff were so helpful and amazing. They communicated everything that we needed to know about hiking up to the gorillas and anything else. We especially loved the Rwandan uniqueness and feel of the property as it was spacious, clean and cosy all at the same time. The bed was firm but very comfortable and the shower was large with lots of hot water
The garden was so peaceful and we had beautiful breakfasts there. The food was so good that I wanted to take the chef home 😊 but they were over feeding us !!! and needed to
tell them to reduce the portions.

so clean - that it was a bit slippery on some surfaces

Great stay but let down by tipping expectations
Pros:

Loved the location and room. Food was great. Fireplace in our room and hot water bottles were a nice touch. Our turn down service was excellent thank you.

Cons:

The main thing was the awkward check out when it came to tipping - we are well travelled, hard working people - the manager insisted on us tipping each individual staff member a specific amount which was difficult - it all became very uncomfortable and her demeanour changed instantly.

Affordable luxury that feels like home
Pros:

We stumbled upon this hotel when the one that I booked was unacceptable. The staff was so warm and welcoming even we were not guests yet. It is a high end affordable luxury hotel. All meals are amazing. The rooms are extremely comfortable with fire places and warm bladders. They give you a foot massage when you come back from hikes. The location is easy to find, right off the main road near the Dian fossey/ellen museum-which is worth a stop. Do not hesitate to book here.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Musanze who is seeking comfort and value for money.
Pros:

Excellent staff who are out to make the guests as comfortable as possible. The food is also excellent.

Pros:

The staff was very nice and very helpful and the food was very tasty. The entire facility was very clean, well maintained and beautiful. (lots of plants and flowers)

Cons:

The Internet did not reach the rooms but that allowed us to disconnect so maybe not the worst problem, no heat or AC in room but a nice fireplace which made it cozy. The bed was very hard but was fine for the one night we were there.
