We will be staying here again!
Pros:

Awesome location in the French Quarter. We were able to walk to nearly everything on our "must see" list. The concierge helped us book a city tour (Cajun City Tours), and made us reservations in the hotel restaurant (The Rib Room). Both the city tour and the meal in the restaurant were phenomenal! The hotel conveys a classic charm while keeping up with the times as far as modern amenities. My only feedback about the room was that the bathroom was a little dates. No necessarily unclean or gross, but needs a little love and updating. To be fair we spent so little time in the room this didn't negatively impact our stay.

Cons:

My only feedback is that the bathroom in our hotel room needs a bit a love. It wasn't unclean, but could use some updating. For example, the knob to turn on the shower was really difficult to turn (and I'm a strong person), and the sink had water marks.

Muy amables las personas que me atendieron en los desayunos en el restaurante del hotel, no tanto el personal de recepción.

Cons:

El baño era viejo, el grifo de la dicha pegado a la pared se movía. Al no haber teléfono de dicha es necesario utilizar gorro de ducha.
Le ha ce falta una gran limpieza a fondo a las habitaciones.
De los 6 días que estuve, creo que sólo dos me limpiaron la habitación.

Disappointing, In Need of a Major Overhaul.
Pros:

Location was great, smack in the middle of the French Quarter but far enough from the noise of Bourbon Street. Rib Room is great for meals and drinks. Nice rooftop pool.

Cons:

Room was ridiculously small and ill-equipped, the bathroom had no horizontal space on which to place anything, and the rooms and hallway are all "frayed around the edges." There were random odors throughout.

The Omni is a beautiful place to stay, but guests need to recognize the challenges of staying in a historic property.
Pros:

The Omni Royal is a beautiful, stately hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. The public areas are simply gorgeous. The staff was amazing, very friendly, and welcoming. They went out of their way to take care of guests and make them feel special.

Cons:

The lighting in our room was a problem. There were three lamps plus’s and overhead light by the entry that operated on a switch. Only one lamp had an on off switch which did not work well, a second lamp required one to unscrew the light bulb to turn it off, and the third lamp did not seem to have way to turn it on at all. We carefully searched the walls, cords and floors to ascertain that we were not missing something. We were not. One extension cord powered lamps on both sides of the bed plus the clock. We chalked it up to staying in a historic property.

Pros:

Nous souhaitions être proches du centre, et l’hôtel est idéalement situé, à seulement quelques pas de Bourbon Street, tout en restant suffisamment au calme.

La piscine sur le toit est exceptionnelle, dans une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale, avec bar et musique. Le personnel est également très attentionné et contribue vraiment à rendre le séjour agréable.

Une très belle expérience que nous recommandons sans hésiter !

Une soirée jazz avec groupe live exceptionnel !!

Cons:

Les chambres dénotent malheureusement complètement par rapport aux parties communes de l’hôtel, qui sont beaucoup plus agréables.

Elles sont très vieillissantes et la propreté laisse parfois à désirer.

Autre point négatif : le parking, facturé 50 $ par jour, ce qui nous semble assez excessif pour les clients de l’hôtel.

We stayed there many times. It’s was our favorite hotel in New Orleans based on location and location the building.

Cons:

The new renovations absolutely missed the mark. The rib room should have been put out to pasture. They really missed the mark by not coming up with a new restaurant concept. Still dark, dank and empty. And the new upstairs lobby bar and decor are completely bland and uninspired. No character. Nothing screams New Orleans. Looks like a corporate designer from Dallas did it.
