Fabulous staff
Pros:

We arrived last night to a very friendly welcome from reception who then upgraded us to a room with a sea view and a balcony At breakfast this morning we arrived at the last minute and Leo went above and beyond to ensure there was sufficient food for both of us. Breakfast was beautiful and we ate it al fresco in the gardens to the beautiful sound of harp music. What a wonderful start to our holiday , thank you to all the staff here.

Nice hotel by the ocean near the city centre
Pros:

We booked this hotel to be near the city centre and all activities without having to go into the hectic traffic when arriving by car. The hotel has a convenient secure manned parking for a fee.
Our room was s bit compact, but quite modern and nice with a beautiful ocean view from the balcony and a modern clean bathroom.
There was a nice pool area with a pool bar.
The breakfasts buffé was great and could be enjoyed out in a nice terrace next to grass and palm trees.
We really recommend this hotel when visiting Palermo.

Good hotel with good facilities, breakfast needs replenishing quicker so your nothing hanging around or returning again and again fir a particular item. Otherwise good would happily return

Excellent stay in a nice hotel in a good location to the city centre
Pros:

The rooms we had were really nice and had a lot of little extras like a coffee pod machine and robe and slippers.

Cons:

It was hot when we were there and the pool area was very busy so couldn’t find sunbeds

Cons:

Teilweise viel zu wenig liegen am Pool.
Teilweise eine Zweiklassengesellschaft für die Liegen für den ein oder anderen Gast wurde noch eine liege her gezaubert.
Der Poolrand hat abgefärbt und hätte von den reinfallen den Blüten besser gereinigt werden können.
Zu wenig Personal in der Gastro. Die Mitarbeiter waren zwar stets bemüht aber teilweise überfordert. Oder es lag an der italienischen Mentalität.
Wir wurden bei der Buchung nicht darauf hingewiesen dass unser Zimmer nur ein Fenster enthält, allerdings haben wir auch nicht nachgefragt.
Unser Zimmer enthält leider Schimmelflecken an der Decke. Und hat teilweise gerochen.
Das meiste Personal war sehr freundlich.

Pros:

Vriendelijk personeel aan de balie.

Cons:

Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel aan de balie. We kregen direct te horen dat we een gratis upgrade kregen naar de Junior Suite, helaas was dit niet zo’n upgrade… De kamer was zeer verouderd, de badkamer hing vol kalk, en er hingen vele dingen los (kastdeuren, kranen, wc-knoppen, de deur naar het terras, en stukken van de radiatoren in het plafond). Ook stond er op hun website dat de Jr Suite een regendouche had, dit was dus niet zo...
Buiten het hotel liep er een persoon die de hotelgasten aan het intimideren was, dus aangezien we een huurauto hadden was parkeren op de gratis parkeerplaatsen geen optie, waardoor we nog eens 20 euro per nacht extra kwijt waren.
Na de vlucht hadden we zin in een snelle lunch, maar toen we de menukaart bekeken, hadden we geen dorst meer, €7,5 voor een frisdrank!! Ook de gerechten waren niet goedkoop en maar flets van smaak. Het zwembad was veel kleiner dan op de foto's.
Wanneer we de buurt wilden gaan verkennen om wat bezienswaardigheden te gaan bekijken, zijn we ten zuidoosten van het hotel gewandeld, een wandeling van 30 minuten waar we ons niet echt veilig voelden. Een redelijk vuile buurt. Wanneer we eindelijk waren aangekomen aan de bestemming, vonden we het aangename toeristische stuk van Palermo. Dit had winkeltjes, restaurants en alles wat we gehoopt hadden. De wandeling terug naar het hotel deden we ook langs deze gezellig straatjes (ten zuidwesten van het hotel) wat veel aangenamer was.

Typical chain hotel
Pros:

The rooms were clean and simple and comfortable. It was next to a cool looking castle. The staff were nice.

Cons:

The pool was only open 9a-7pm. In the summer it should be open longer. It was still 97 degrees F at 21:00 and we would have liked going in the pool before bed to cool off. Also as many say there are not enough loungers for the number of guests. The location is just ok as it is loud near the street. Overall the hotel was pretty charmless and generic. I wouldn’t stay there again.
