The most beautiful hotel I've stayed in across my 150+ nights a year for the last 15 years. Excellent location, modern rooms, very clean, great staff, and a nice restaurant.
I was so excited to stay at this property after reading so much about it. Walking in truly took my breath away. It is absolutely beautiful.
Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the setting.
Check-in was welcoming at first but quickly became odd. I was given one room key despite my husband standing next to me, and when I asked for a second, I was questioned as to whether we really needed another. It was provided very begrudgingly, along with very specific and firm instructions that we return the (ordinary) room keys at checkout. It seemed strange at the time and, unfortunately, foreshadowed our experience with the front desk.
Pros: The hotel is stunning. The bell staff and breakfast staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed breakfast, complimentary as Globalists. Our Junior Suite, obtained by applying a Hyatt Suite Upgrade Award, was a nice size and well appointed.
Cons: Our room would not cool adequately for sleeping despite repeatedly lowering the thermostat. The thermostat, located in the cooler entry area of the suite, never registered below approximately 71°F and was frequently higher. The sleeping area itself felt noticeably warmer. Lowering the thermostat made no meaningful difference. More problematic than the air conditioning itself, however, was the way our concerns were handled.
Over two days, we received multiple and often contradictory explanations. We were repeatedly assured that Maintenance was blowing 16°C air into the room on high to cool it, only to eventually be told by a senior manager that the property’s system could not cool the air below approximately 20°C. We were also repeatedly reminded to keep our windows and shades closed, even though we had never been leaving them open. After hearing this over and over, it increasingly felt as though the problem was being attributed to something we were doing rather than an issue with the room.
Follow-through was equally poor. We were offered a fan for our second night that never arrived. I didn’t call about it because by that point I had little confidence that the front desk would be helpful. Five hours later, at 11 PM, the front desk called me to ask whether I had received it.
The next day, incredibly, a supervisor cited that same fan as an example of my making demanding late-night requests that the hotel had accommodated while I remained dissatisfied. According to the hotel’s notes, I had called at 11 PM requesting it. I had not. They called me. When I explained this, the notes were treated as more credible than my explanation, and the interaction became accusatory and demeaning.
After two nights of inadequate cooling and virtually no sleep, we left the hotel early. There was no meaningful acknowledgment or service-recovery gesture for the two nights we had already endured, and I was surprised that the General Manager did not reach out upon returning from the bank holiday.
This is a beautiful property with some wonderful staff, but our experience with the front desk was exceptionally poor. If you prefer a cool room for sleeping, I would hesitate to stay here during the summer months. At other times of year, if everything goes smoothly, you may have a very different experience. Unfortunately, based on ours, I would have little confidence in how a problem would be handled if something went wrong. I had 110 Hyatt nights in the past year and stays at other non-Hyatt properties. This was by far the worst experience of them all.
Perfektes Innenstadthotel. Sehr gute Schalldämmung, leise und effiziente Klimaanlage. Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Vielfältiges Frühstück in tollem Ambiente. Zimmer sehr sauber mit großzügigem Bad.
Kein Mangel
Went for some drinks with my mom to enjoy a nice summer day, the venue is truly gorgeous and that alone is worth a visit!
The staff have been extremely nice and accommodating, making the whole experience very luxurious!
Our personal favorite was Ambrusz! If you come here, make sure to ask for him - he's one smooth operator!
Great experience!!! We will definetely reccomend it to friends! Budapest at its best and Parisi Udvar was an unforgetable place to be!
Outstanding hotel in the center of Budapest, Five stars in all areas, Breakfast and Bar are was wonderful! The hotel has amazing architecture!
Beautiful hotel. Great location. The staff was fluent in English which was very helpful to us.
Only negative for us was a party reserved at the hotel so certain areas were limited.
The hotel is beautifully restored and allows guests to experience history. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is varied and features delicious baked goods. And the hotel allows guests to use the sauna facilities at no charge.
It’s not under the hotel’s control, but for some reason, many guests wore excessive colognes.
Tarihi otel binası çok güzel, konumu çok merkezi.
Bütün çalışanlar güler yüzlü, odalar temiz ve bakımlı
kahvaltı büfesinde daha çok çeşit olabilir
Fantastic stay in an architectural masterpiece with outstanding service!
This was my 7th stay in Budapest in the past 13 months, and the consistently high quality of the 5-star hotels here is truly impressive. All the more reason to be glad that it finally worked out with the Párisi Udvar – as the saying goes: Save the best for last!( i m not finsished yet in budapest, my favourite city in europe)
A warm thank you goes out to Mrs. Brigitta Marton (Reservation Manager) for her excellent and helpful response regarding my room inquiry. yes that breakfast buffet i did really enjoyed...
My stay from the first to the last minute was absolutely unforgettable. The hotel itself is breathtaking and an architectural icon – having breakfast in such a setting, surrounded by this impressive architecture, is pure "eye-candy" and hard to beat. The fantastic breakfast buffet itself was also beautifully arranged and provided a perfect start to the day.
A very special thank you goes to Mr. Bence at the front desk, who significantly enhanced my stay with a very accommodating early check-in and an exclusive viewing of the junior suite.
My 35 m² premium room was in absolute top condition. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the pillows were simply a dream to sleep on, and the bathroom left nothing to be desired with its high-end care products.
The outstanding service made the stay perfect: The bell captains Minhas, Kristol, and Ádám always took care of every request and were incredibly attentive. Mornings were also sweetened by Mrs. Toni at the breakfast buffet, whose charming and attentive manner made the start into th enew day a highlight.
The service in this hotel is at the highest level and made my stay at the Párisi Udvar unforgettable. I will definitely be back – and am already looking forward to trying out one of the next higher room categories next time!
El hotel en sí mismo es precioso
La cama: intolerable que el colchón sea como era, sonaba muelles sacados, terrible. Es un básico en un hotel. Si la cama falla, falla todo
Having seen the photos of this hotel before, we were still in awe when we arrived. It is extremely grand in every respect.
Lovely little touches too.
The only thing I am surprised about, for a hotel of this standard, is that there were only 2 squashy pillows each. No spares or 'pillow menu' which I have seen elsewhere.
As we only stayed 2 nights we didn't ask for more.
Having said that, I would ( and have) definitely recommend.
Also, Budapest has a lot to offer. A beautiful city.
Everything
Nothing
To start off, I really cannot think of anything negative about my experience. While the hotel is right in the center next to the metro and the main road, the area is pretty calm, and there were no problems with loud noises whatsoever.
Walking in, you are welcomed by a friendly staff that is always ready to help.
I personally have to say thank you to Ms. Emz for her uncommonly positive attitude and for brightening up my breakfasts every morning in the lobby. The other staff at the main hotel door and the restaurant reception were wonderfully positive too; unfortunately, I couldn’t get their names to highlight them.
The cleaning staff and the kitchen team also did a wonderful job, and the breakfast was the definition of perfection. Overall, I think the price matched the value.
