The swimming pool. Even if it was closed, the staffs were polite and opened for us on request.
No room service tag. MUR had to be done through verbal communication. Either on phone or face to face communication with staffs.
The tv wasn't working. It said weak connection and correct antenna
Clean
Good location
Value for money. We had poori bhaji for breakfast. It was amazing. We didn't see much footfall of guests during our stay. View of mountains is great from the pool deck. Rooms are comfortable. Laundry service and cafés are just close by.
Recommend to have lunch and breakfast outside. Slightly longer walk around 200m more than other hotels close by.
Hotel Mala Pokhara is a decent place to stay with a good location, making it convenient to explore Lakeside and nearby areas. The rooms are comfortable and suitable for a short stay. The hotel environment is generally calm, and it feels safe and welcoming.
The staff are polite and helpful, which makes the stay easier. Cleanliness is acceptable, though there is still room for improvement in some areas. The facilities are basic, and the hotel is more about comfort than luxury.
Overall, Hotel Mala Pokhara is a reasonable choice for budget travelers looking for a simple and comfortable stay in Pokhara.

Excellent location, comfortable beds, fantastic 7th floor lounge area with amazing view of Anapurna’s Fishtail and other mountains. But more than that, we loved the staff. Kusum Rai and Ajai Poudel were the best part of our experience at the Hotel Mala. Kind, personable, accommodating, professional and sweet, they went out of their way to make sure our needs and wishes were met. They are true hospitality professionals and were we honored to have them as our hosts.
The breakfast was a bit lacking and could use some improvement. That is the only meal we experienced at this great hotel.
This hotel is great. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional and bent over backwards to accommodate us. The rooftop pool is small.but fantastic. There is also a rooftop sitting area where you can have drinks delivered while gazing upon the beauty of the Annapurna range. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to all the coffee shops, resturants, trekking shops and other stores. And maybe a 15 minute walk to the lake.
The hotel is an incredible value for the location, comfort, cleanliness and friendly staff you get. Can't recommend it enough.
The only negative is the "resturant". The breakfast is not very good at all. After a couple of mornings, I ate breakfast elsewhere. On the bright side, the momos are delicious!
The front desk person (Guy) was very friendly and accommodating.
During my visit, I overheard some employees speaking negatively about their colleagues, mentioning things like the VAT bill not being ready because others hadn’t completed their tasks. While I understand that every workplace has its challenges, I believe such discussions should be kept private and not held in front of guests. As a visitor, it's important to feel the presence of a cohesive, professional team. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as it’s meant to support a better experience for all guests.
