Ophold med behagelig seng
Pros:

Sengen var meget behagelig (første hotel I Sri Lanka hvor alle i familien var enige om dette), linned og håndklæder var rene og udsigten fra værelset var spektakulær. Personalet var meget imødekommende og søde. Vi spiste ikke på hotellet, så maden kan vi ikke kommentere på.

Cons:

Værelset kunne trænge til en hovedrengøring da der var lidt nusset og beskidt - i hvert fald når man tænker, det er et hotel med 4 stjerner. Det skal retfærdigheds vis siges, at jeg ikke beklagede mig til personalet, så måske de havde gjort noget, hvis det var blevet påpeget. Hotellet ligger lidt væk fra byen, men med til tuk tog det ca 10 min. ned til søen. Lidt besværligt men til gengæld havde vi den flotte udsigt.

lovely pool, views and comfortable rooms.
Pros:

The hotel itself has obviously been set up with high standards in mind. The views are stunning and the pool and dining room are the stand out features. Bedrooms also have good views.
The location is great in that even though it is at the top of a mountain, it is also close to town, so a cheap tuktuk ride from the bus stop or centre of Kandy.
The staff were friendly and helpful

Cons:

I found the food choices pretty limited and not really congruent with the surroundings. As in much of Kandy itself, traditional SriLankan curries were largely missing from the menu (which is a shame as they are delicious).
The staff and the service provided varied from mainly amateur to a few obvious professionals (in charge of desk and maitre d). Some hospitality training around how to make guests feel acknowledged and looked after - in a non-intrusive, but timely manner (check-in & non-dining room service) - would go a long way to increasing the enjoyment factor. E.g. I went from the pool to the restaurant to order a snack for delivery poolside. The only vegetarian snack option was banana pancakes. 45mins later nothing had arrived, so I went back to the restaurant (1 floor up) and waited there. 5mins later they brought me a stack of pikelets layered with cubes of melon & mango. No sign of any banana. Suggestion for improvement would be having a designated person to service the pool area for drinks and snacks, and cater for the vegetarians with some traditional SriLankan choices.

Peaceful Stay Surrounded by Nature
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay at Mount Blue Kandy. Although it’s a little far from Kandy city center, the peaceful location and lush green surroundings made it worthwhile.

The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially the restaurant team, who provided excellent service throughout our stay.

A great choice for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing stay near Kandy.

Pros:

The room and nice view

Cons:

The breakfast was terrible. There was only one option, and they served a Sri Lankan set menu for breakfast, which I didn’t like at all. To make matters worse, they brought the fruit before the meal, even though it should have been served after breakfast.
The shower drain was clogged, so the water did not drain properly.
It was also very difficult to get a taxi from the hotel.
The normal exchange rate was 330, but they exchanged my money at a rate of 335, which caused me to lose a significant amount of money.

Overall, I would not recommend this place.

Very disappointing from start to finish. The room was uncomfortable due to a broken air conditioner, the shower didn’t work properly, and the cleanliness was below an acceptable standard. Dirty towels and hair under the pillows were unacceptable. We tried to speak with the General Manager, Malcolm, but were unable to despite several requests. Thankfully, Khan, the F&B Manager, was courteous and did his best to assist us. Sadly, that wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience.

Pros:

Excellent accomodation wish we could have stayed longer! We had the family room which was very spacious and amazing views - we enjoyed a swim in the pool with great views. Breakfast was delicious and plenty and the staff could not have been more helpful

A special thank you to Mr.Chathnran and all other incredible staff for their warm hospitality, kindness, and excellent service. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. after booking they informed me ill find jacuzzi not working however we booked for it. Family room is in G floor no view as trees are hiding the view. Room tv is so boring and old actually all facilities are old! Balcony full of insects so impossible to sit out door or enjoy view, as no view and has insects ! Breakfast is not a buffet, internet is useless!! Even hotel location is far of all facilities
