Friendly staff, very clean and great location
Tiny room, single bed for £90 was a tad harsh
OK until I got locked out after an evening out. No one answered night phone for a long time. Complaint next day was handled in a rather off hand dismissive manner. Also the key card that allows access to rooms did not work most of the time.

Size of room and bed size
Lovely staff
Central location. Nice pub. Easy check in.
No air con, stayed in room 107, windows didn't really open or close correctly. Window was straight onto the road which was noisy. Room appeared to be directly over a sub woofer with music going on until 3am. Card reader to get upstairs required assistance from staff every time as the reader was temperamental, there was a knackered that required it to be swiped with a left hand while tilting the card in a particular way, lol. It seemed the rooms were for stag/hen nights as quite a lot was broken or in a state of repair.
The location
Couldn't open the window's as it was a hot day
Location
Bit shabby for the price, bathroom had leaking toilet and bath, shower had no handle to aid getting in or out,and window if opened looked out on staff having a smoke on the stairs! Could wave to them while doing your business.
Well located with a car park
The noise levels were unbearable with very little sleep.
Welcoming, friendly and the bar and breakfast restaurant facilities were excellent
Lighting in the bathroom and no cold water in the basin. Probably pipe too close to the hot pipe!
nice pub and food
no itv?
Large room and very nice ensuite. No noise during our stay which was midweek, understand there is live music etc at the weekends which could be noisy. Our room on 2nd floor was very peaceful.
Nothing.
The rooms were clean and spacious.
Plenty of parking
The busy road and repair
Location description is deceiving
The location only.
Booked this hotel for me and my 13 year old daughter.
So I was contacted before my visit to say it is the football final on the night of my stay so the noise Is going to be a little louder than normal. So I asked what time does this finish.? Was told 11.30pm. So I said this is fair enough and continued.
When I got there I could see this was a pub as in the beer garden was full, took no notice. Checked in and left for the evening. Headed back for 11.30pm.
Doorman told me when I arrived back to the hotel. "Can't bring the kid in here mate"
To which I replied, " I'm staying here. "
He said OK then no problem, get yourself in, no issues with the door staff, he was just doing his job.
So I go to the room, and realise its like being in a nightclub in the room. The dj is directly underneath my room, so basically like being in a bedroom and someone playing decks full blast in the room below. Not good for a 13 year old kid. So I went down and said to the door staff "what time does this finish as I have a 13 year old child upstairs" , to which he replied, "2.30am the noise will stop". No rooms to move to. Why on earth a 13 year old child was put in this room I have no idea. They must of realised.
So after 2 hours of this. 2am my daughter finally slept with her head phones on. Then 5am we were both awaken by bottles getting removed directly next to our window, then deliveries. So I slept around 2 hours myself.
So when I checked out I messages the property explaining our situation, asking for some type of compensation for the fact we were situated in this room. And surely this was a mistake. After 2 weeks they replied.
And said they have no control over the noise outside the room, bearing in mind this is there pub, there beer garden and they will of booked the dj and decided to put a 13 year old in the room above.
As a good will gesture they will give me 10% off my next stay. Which I thought was an absolute joke.
It’s in a good location, close to the railway station.
Thought it was expensive. Also the mattress was very comfortable.
The friendliness of the staff at all times.
No air-conditioning.
To warm in rooms no vents
